Bobbi and Warren, Saturday morning
Aug. 25th, 2018 09:47 amHaving forgiven him for standing her up last night, Bobbi and Warren spend a lazy Saturday morning together in bed, where plans are made.
For the first time in weeks, Warren felt almost like himself. Sometimes, when the voices in his head were getting too much, being with Bobbi helped. Not always, and those were bad nights, but today? Yup, just being with her, lazing in bed, no plans, nothing ... he could actually think.
Laying on his back, wings spread out across the pillows, he played with her fingers, tangling them with his, while he brushed light kisses across the top of her head. "You're way too good for me, you know that right?," he said quietly, looking down at her. During his brief moments of clarity, he knew that was the understatement of the year. This year had been the hardest for them, breaking up almost on an almost bi-weekly basis, but at the same time, he'd never felt more secure in their relationship either. She'd left and she'd come back. Sure it was more than once, but what mattered was she came back.
"You should get a medal. Or a crown. Something, for putting up with me." A pause. "I could buy you one. I bet I know a few Queens who have some royal jewelry to get rid of."
"I don't need any jewelry," she replied, leaning a little bit closer into him. "A trophy though, hmm. Maybe that's something that could be arranged." Bobbi considered it for a second before she was unable to hide her smirk. "Okay, I don't need any of those things, because I already have the best reward. Ka-Zar." He barked in agreement from where he sat, nestled down around both of their legs on the bed. "And one of your credit cards. And you, I suppose," she added.
Warren gave a laugh, his toes poking at the dog. He'd never thought he'd own a dog, but then again, he'd never thought he'd be in a relationship either.
"At least I'm in the top 3." He grinned and ran his fingers down her side. "I thought with the way things had been going, I'd be lucky to crack the top 10." The billionaire paused for a moment before tentatively asking his next question.
"You know....October will be two years...remember Japan? Best trip of my life." He leaned over and gave her a long, lingering kiss.
"Mmmhmm, sure do," Bobbi replied once their lips parted. It was hard to forget, and her mind often went back to how all of this started - every time they fought, and every time they made up, both of which had been all too frequent lately. "Maybe we should make a trip back in October. Or to go somewhere else, just the two of us."
"Mmmm." A trip for just them. It'd been a while since he'd been able to take her with him. Work trips were painfully dull as they were, but without Bobbi, it made them worse....and more efficient, which is why she often didn't go.
"I think," he replied lazily, shifting his hands from hers to reach under her body. "That is an excellent idea." Warren leaned forward and nuzzled her nose with his. "What's on your bucket list? And do you really want to wait until October? I could probably take off in a few weeks..."
"Oh, there are a lot of places I want to visit," she answered, looking upward as she thought of the long list. "Call me romantic, though, but I think we should go back where it started first. We'll have lots of time for other places, yes?" Bobbi raised herself up slightly to allow him to reach under her, rubbing her nose back against his. "I can always move things around at work, if my boss lets me. I don't have anything too pressing right now."
Warren gave a quick laugh as he moved closer to her. "Oh, I think there's something pressing alright, but nothing some time in bed can solve."
It wasn't until a few hours later when he gave his actual reply. "Japan it is."
