Angel and Sooraya | Leaving
Sep. 6th, 2018 09:23 amAngel and Sooraya prepare to leave for Seattle.
"It's gonna be quiet in the suite..." Sooraya murmured as she checked her bag to see if she had everything in it.
"Yeah, no cat screaming at 3 in the morning to bed," Angel said with the best smile she could muster as she poked some treats into Doughnut's carrier. He was the only pet making the journey with her back to Seattle. Slinky's and Twinkie's ashes were secured in a box to make sure they wouldn't be upended during the trip, and the fish had been donated to Clint's group of weirdos. "Bet you won't miss that."
"Hmmm, I don't know. He was pretty good company at night sometimes. Especially in the winter." Sooraya replied. "Did you manage to get everything settled in Seattle for now? You mentioned you were going to be staying with your mom for now?"
"She does like her warm snuggles." Angel laughed, patting the carrier. "Yeah, at least until I'm sure the death threats and 'we'll burn down your house with you inside' threats aren't real. I'll get an apartment nearby or something after that. She's not happy about the whole 'my daughter wants to be my bodyguard' thing."
"Parents are supposed to protect their kids and not the other way around." Sooraya quoted. "Isn't that what she told you when you mentioned moving down here for the first time."
"We can protect each other," Angel said, suddenly serious. "But I'm not going to sit here and do nothing while she's getting death threats just for being a decent human being."
"You're making perfect sense to me, Angel. If I found my mom again and something similar happened, I would totally do the same." Sooraya agreed. "And I still think we should provide some kind of mansion support or protection to her too but that is just me..." After a pause she added: "Something that is not just you."
"There's enough going on around here." Angel sighed. "No one's actually done much besides egg her house, but the fact that they know her address freaks me out, ya know? If it ever looks like there's real real real danger though, I know how to call." She grinned again.
"That is pretty scary... you only need one idiot." Sooraya let out a long sigh. "Did Mr. Summers agree to keep your phone? I know I'd sleep easier if you at least have the chance to hit the alarm if needed."
"Yup, I'll still be wired to the mansion." Doughnut yowled again, and Angel popped another treat in her mouth before looking around. "Hopefully it won't be needed, though. And... I think that's everything."
"I think so." Sooraya looked around to check as well, already having popped her bag in the back. "You wanna drive first or should I?"
"I'll take first," Angel said, patting the cat crate one last time. "I think we can get all of this in one trip, too. You ready?"
"Ready to go." Sooraya shut the backdoor of the car and made her way to the passenger side.
