Earlier today, Warren staggers into the XFI, hungover, and manages to truly piss off Lorna.

Things were going from bad to worse, and Warren didn't know what to do. So far no one wanted to talk to him, and he was finding it harder and harder to drag himself to the office ...either at XFI or WI. His head was always fuzzy, and even his usual cocktail of drugs wasn't helping.

It was a bleary eyed, slightly bearded Warren that stumbled into the XFI office in the evening, well after the day was done.

"Oh fuck," he exclaimed, looking at Lorna. "You're still here? Why?"

Lorna didn't look up from her laptop, "Compiling these documents and findings to send to our last clients lawyer by tomorrow. You missed the staff meeting earlier."

Staff meeting? "Didn't we just have one last week?" He walked to his desk, and threw himself down. Running a hand through his hair, he squinted at the calendar on the wall. Sure enough, a staff meeting had been penciled in for the day. What the fuck? He pulled out his phone and checked. There was a calendar notif that he'd missed too. Whatever. Opening his desk drawer, he pulled out a flask and took a swig before offering it to Lorna. "It probably wasn't important. Nothing we do is."
> Finally the green haired girl looked up and gave Warren a raised eyebrow, "Are you alright? Did you and Bobbi have a fight again?"

Warren snorted. "Are we ever not fighting? I don't know why I decided to have a relationship. Stupidest thing I ever agreed to. And now I can't get rid of her."

"Ouch. What happened to make you Mr. Sour?" Lorna closed the lid of her laptop to give Warren her full attention.

"Nothing." And really nothing was different. It was the same usual battle: Bobbi didn't like that he was out all the time, he didn't like that she was trying to tell him what to do. It was a cycle that didn't seem to end. "What do you care anyways? You and Alex are perfect. So cute, so wonderful." He made a gagging noise. "Such bullshit."

"I care because you and Bobbi are my best friends. Don't change the subject. What is really going on?"

"Am I really? Your best friend? Or am I just that person who buys you stuff because your husband barely can support you." Warren just frowned further, looking at his flask. "I don't even know why any of you people are friends with me."

Lorna raised an eyebrow, "Careful what you say there Warren. Alex doesn't need to support me. I am not a housewife. And I never asked you to purchase those things for me, pretty sure you did all of those on your own."

He gave an indelicate snort and finished his flask. Rooting through his desk drawer, he cursed past Warren who had apparently finished all the E and never replaced it. Fucking past Warren -- never looking out for future Warren. "Alex doesn't need to support you but he should be. Did he even finish high school? Fuck, if I hadn't hired him, who would've?"

"Why are you attacking Alex? I am so confused with this conversation. Are you on a bad kick? You know I don't like it when you do drugs at work. Clients could see this." Luckily they won't, as they were closed at the moment.

"It's alcohol and it's legal, thank you very fucking much." He got up suddenly and walked towards her desk. "You know, he's just going to drag you down. You could do so much better. You're smart, beautiful, deadly -- I just don't get it. Think of the things you could do if you were with someone else. There's gotta be single Kings around here."

Now Lorna was starting to get a little annoyed with Warren. He had to be lying when he said it was legal. "Alex was the first person outside of the Brotherhood that accepted me for me. He didn't expect a single thing." Course she always lied when it came to her family - who would want to date the daughter of a wanted terrorist? But Alex also enjoyed the same things as Lorna did - like rock collecting. Only another weirdo would get that. "Would you stop insulting Alex. It is getting old and fast."

Warren laughed. He was just getting started.

If only this was actually him.

From the moment he walked into the office, he felt this strange disassociation. He was here, he was controlling his body, but his mouth and mind? It was almost like someone else had taken over. In reality, he adored Lorna, always had, and would never think these things of Alex. Sure, he was like a puppy that had never learned how not to drool, but that was what Lorna wanted. Fuck, Warren organized their wedding.

That was why he was so appalled by the words coming out of his mouth but he couldn't stop it, not even if he wanted to. "Oh the Brotherhood. Right, I keep forgetting you were Daddy's right hand girl, leading the terrorists to march across the world. No wonder you want Alex now -- you quit because you couldn't handle having Dad tell you what to do anymore. Of course, thinking for yourself IS hard when you've been told what to do, what to say, how to feel......I wonder. What WAS that turning point for you, the moment you decided 'naaaaah, killing innocent people is okay, but this? This is why I leave." He snapped his fingers. "Got it. He must've started whoring you out, hey? Hot daughters get a looooot of information from stupid men."

If Lorna inherited anything else from her father, it would be her temper. It was why meditation was so key to her well-being, why weed was always in her sock drawer at home. Lorna flew out of her seat in a blink of an eye and came at Warren with such force that both slammed against the nearby wall before giving one big punch to his beautiful face. Her eyes were glowing the same color green as her hair. "This is your final warning Warren. The next time I will do more than break a nose. Don't EVER insult Alex or my dad in my prescence." Truth was she had guilt over the life she took and she could had been way worse than her father ever was.

She let go of his clothing and floated away from him as she released him from his hold, dropping him. The metals in the room were still floating and were aimed right at Warren. "Please leave." Lorna said in a very serious, very deadly, tone of voice. Ignoring the pain her hand

He suddenly felt his consciousness return to his body just in time to receive the incredibly strong punch to his nose. It was like the punch returned all senses to him, and the sickening crunch brought his hands to his face immediately. Blood was pouring down his face and he gave her a wide-eyed stare. "You broke my fucking nose!" he cried out, the pain flaring throughout his face. "Jesus fucking Christ, you stupid woman, what the fuck was that? Too close for comfort?"

"OUT!" Lorna voice roared. "Don't test me. I will totally throw your ass out."

"DO IT," he screamed back, his hand still covering his nose. "I'd really like to see you fucking try!"

Lorna lifted her hand and the metal objects flew towards him, wrapping around his body, then forcing him into the chair. They would need to get new staplers and a new chair. Then with a flick of her wrist, the chair started to move towards the backdoor. She might be pissed, but she would give him the dignity of not being disposed of in public. Plus, if the backdoor closed there was no way back in except for going through the front.

The door opened and with a final flick the chair rolled right out to the alleyway. "Just because your life fucking sucks doesn't mean you can spew bullshit about other people's lives. I honestly thought you were better than this Warren." Keys floated up from Warren's pocket and floated over to Lorna, "I am putting you on suspension until further notice." And with that door slammed and the metals that were holding Warren down, fell to the ground.

After a couple more seconds, the initial shock of what she done had worn off and her whole body trembled. "Fuck."
