Meggan and Clea have split off from Kurt and Ty to face off against Aetenor and Dolon, respectively.

Aetenor and Dolon glared at the female intruders facing off against them. This was a most unpleasant surprise and unnecessary delay in obtaining vital information for the campaign against the Greeks. Much was on the line and they had little time to deal with these intruders. Dolon stepped forward and pulled swords from his back in preparation for the battle to come. Aetenor was less flashy and simply shifted into a fighting stance.

Meggan blinked, knowing she shouldn’t have been startled when Dolon pulled his swords on Clea; still, she was concerned even as she became much more focused on the other man. She didn’t want Aetenor sounding the alarm or drawing more attention their way, and there was always a chance.  She knew she couldn’t hope to handle sword-bearing people rushing to protect their advisor. She hoped she could get high enough to be out of range if she had to deal with such a situation.

She shook her head momentarily, and wondered if floating kickboxing could help to bring him to ground for long enough.  Unarmed didn't mean helpless. Or would it make him think she was a deity? As an advisor, would he listen to reason in the midst of a fight?  She hoped so, even as she was beginning to float upward.

"The best course of action for you would be to return to where you came," Aetenor said. He curled his hands into fists and his eyes began to glow. He needed a moment to summon the energy that came from within then he could dispatch both of these interlopers quickly. "Otherwise, we will be forced to deal with you."

Not good! If Meggan didn’t know the results of that energy touching something, then she really didn’t want to be hit with it.  She just needed to keep him distracted; she was tensed, though, and ready to get back if he chose to strike out with the energy.  “I think we’d all like that very much” she assured him.

She knew she didn’t look threatening at all, so maybe that would help. “Wouldn’t you rather talk about it than fight, sir? Aren’t words better when you’re an advisor and don’t know what the situation is?” Meggan asked.  She would appeal to his reason, and hope it quelled both him and, by extension, the other man if he called him off. She glanced momentarily over to see how things were going with Clea, but was half afraid to fully divert her attention from the advisor.

That moment of distraction was all that Aetenor needed to open his hand in Clea's direction, unleashing a bolt of sizzling energy. It struck Clea directly causing her to twist and writhe before dropping to the ground in a heap. Now they could focus on the other intruder and get this over with. Dolon hadn't let himself be distracted by the power display and moved toward Meggan.

“Clea!”  Meggan couldn’t go to Clea’s side to even know how badly injured she was after that strike. She backed away as Dolon approached.  Maybe if she went with her first impulse and used twirling air kickboxing first at the two men, and then gave a good hard shove at the support beam for the tent as a distraction.  Or would contact be just as bad? Maybe they could get out of this in one piece. She did her best to avoid any energy aimed at her, even as she moved to act.

Dolon lifted his swords to strike at Meggan but her flight into the air wasn't something he was used to. His training had been against mortal men and while the gods had favored some of those men never in a fashion like this. He swung and swung and all he did was trip over his feet in chasing Meggan through the large tent. It didn't help he was buffeted by the wind Meggan generated either. Aetenor shouted words of encouragement and attack, unable to unleash his own attacks without fear of striking Dolon.

With the way he gave chase, the situation could have been humorous if it weren’t so dire.  Meggan just wanted to finish this and find a way to get herself and Clea away from these two men.  As she made her way through the large tent another time, she reached out to give the supporting beam a good shove.  Meggan could hear a small creak, as the wood didn’t quite hold up to the extra strain. She hoped it would knock them out when it went, but she couldn’t be absolutely certain of anything in that regard.

Now that Meggan was clear of the ground and weaving between the tables and lanterns set up within the tent, Aetenor seemed unconcerned with the danger to himself and Dolon as he shot off energy shots left and right. There were also pauses in his firing for when he had to recharge. One such energy shot bounced off the support pillar that Meggan had pushed, making it emit an even louder creak. Dolon was hampered by the items in the room, bounding on top of them as best he could in attempts to swipe Meggan from the air. They paid no attention to Clea's still body as she was no longer of any concern.

There was another swerve around the pillar as they tried to catch her; then, another hard shove against it from Meggan.  Her efforts sounded like they were beginning to pay off. The creaking pillar began to lean heavily, looking as though it would descend shortly. Meggan hoped Clea was okay; whatever happened next, she was preparing to dive back down to her, and drag her outside.

The pillar swayed for several long seconds before a loud crack split the air as the wood splintered and broke. Aetenor was too focused on Meggan to fully understand what was happening until it was too late. He'd maneuvered himself toward the center of the large tent to better be able to aim at Meggan. That had, however, put him directly in the path of the falling pillar. He looked away from Meggan only when he realized that the shadow toppling toward him shouldn't have been. He cried out in surprise and dismay as it crashed onto him with a loud whump.

Dolon had turned from the chase at Aetenor's scream and immediately sheathed his swords. He had run toward the pillar and was now attempting futilely to lift the heavy beam off Aetenor. He grunted with the effort and was softly cursing under his breath with Meggan completely forgotten.

While he was lost in his task, Meggan got to work.  It was obvious she wouldn’t be assaulted now, so she landed and moved closer to the unconscious form on the ground.  She gathered Clea quickly and carefully, and began to drag her out of the tent.
