Kevin visits Lorna at XFI to share the case file of Warren and Satanna with some old man advice. (Backdated to January)

Kevin walked into the XFI office expecting a vibrant work place. Instead, it was a group trying to dig themselves out of a cluster of issues and ignoring the people dropping by. It wasn't unfair. He sought out Lorna's desk, shuffling the papers in the files he had until he ended up in front of her.

"This is the story." He dropped a file on the desk in front of her.

Lorna paused her typing when a file landed in front of her. She looked up to see Kevin and raised an eyebrow. "Straight to the point. What am I looking at?" Lorna pulled the file closer to her and opened it to see Warren's name on top. Her heart dropped as she looked back at Kevin for more answers.

"The final write up about the incident between Warren and Satanna. It is important that you see the whole scope of the incident." He took as seat at her desk, unscrewing a flask for a drink.

Lorna leaned back in her chair as she started to read the write up in front of her. It seemed that Warren couldn't keep it in his pants and was caught by the balls. After a few more minutes, Lorna set down the paper back into the file and folded her hands. "He still hasn't apologized to me. Even if it was female version of Satan's influence." If Lorna was anything like her father, it was stubbornness. "If he at least apologizes to Alex, and get's himself clean. Like no more drugs in the office, at all.I will lift his suspension." She pushed the file back towards Kevin. "How bad was he at the end?" Lorna asked but her voice had soften.

"I'm not here to advocate for the guy. If he never sets foot in the office again doesn't matter to me. But, what happened to him... the end and Satanna are just part of the story." He said. "Awhile back, Worthington ended up with a few others in Limbo; a kind of hell dimension or something, based on what Sefton told me. While he was there, he picked up some kind of magical infection. See, there are doppelgangers in Limbo; a kind of id darkest side version of us. Thanks to this infection, Warren's alter-ego ended up whispering in his brain, like devils on both shoulders."

"Messing with any demons is only asking for trouble and it sucks when you still mess with them." Lifting her finger to the bridge of her nose. Warren still gave her a headache even if he wasn't here. "Thanks Kevin. For sharing the full story."

"It's apparently an operational hazard around here." Kevin said, shrugging. "I just- can I tell you something from the perspective of a very old man?"

"We are bound to attract unwanted hazards. Seems to be the ongoing theme too." Lorna looked at him and nodded, "Sure."

"Warren is a rich, entitled piece of shit who is ungodly slappable. But, unlike the majority of those fucks who end up running for office, he seems to want to try and so something vaguely noble. He ran into a mental woodchipper that he was completely unable to handle. I have watched too many guys come back from war with a similar mental state. If he's your friend, if you care about him, don't make it conditional, despite having every right in the world to do so." Kevin shrugged and took a sip from his flask. "I entirely believe that he wronged you. But decide whether justice or compassion is more important to you in regards to him. Because he's a broken thing right now and I'd lay money that he's not going to meet any bar a reasonable person should. At least, not unless you're willing to wait months or years for it."

Lorna was the last person someone should ask if justice or compassion was more important. Justice should be served to all, while compassion was reserved for those who earned it. She was still her father's daughter and forgiveness was hard to swallow. "I'll reflect upon your words...for a very old man." Lorna simply said.
