Amanda helps Angelo get ready for his wedding, and they talk.

"Hey, look at you. All dressed up and ready to be married." Amanda poked her head around the door of the room where Angelo was getting ready. "Can I come in?"

"Of course", he said cheerfully. "I was hoping you'd come by, anyway."

Amanda walked in. It was clear she'd been a 'victim' of the Holi booby traps, as her hair had streaks of hot pink and electric blue, and it was also clear she'd gotten clothing advice from Marie-Ange in terms of matching it; she was wearing a simple dress of a similar blue that had short sleeves and a scooped neckline. "Ready for your big moment?"

"Never been readier." Angelo turned to look at her, then blinked. "What happened to you?"

He'd been attempting to get into his tux and had got most of the way there, but the tie was clearly giving him difficulty.

"Holi, apparently. Topaz booby-trapped the place with magical dye bombs, 'though I'd say Stephen had a hand in it - the traps have his signature all over them." Amanda was definitely amused rather than angry. "And since it's Topaz not moping somewhere, I decided to play along and leave it.: Seeing he was having issues with the tie, she came forward and nudged his hands away from it. "Here, I've got it," she said, as she began deftly tying the knot. "All that time with Manuel taught me how to deal with these things."

"Yeah, it's good to see her having fun", he agreed. "Maybe I should go find one, get into the spirit. Thanks, I never did get the hang of ties. Nathan despaired."

Amanda smiled softly. "He'd be so proud of you today," she said quietly as she worked. "Him and your mum both." She didn't add that they should be there that day, but the thought certainly followed.

He'd been having the same thought, but refusing to let it make him sad. Not today. "You know what, I like to think they are. Out there someplace."

She nodded and gave one last tug to set the tie in place. "Of course," she replied, her hands moving to lightly hold him by the lapels as she spoke. "Jean-Phillipe's getting himself one sexy man, that's for sure," she continued, in a brighter tone. "You always did clean up good."

He peered at her, uncertain if that was regret he heard under the brightness, or just acknowledgment of things past, and impulsively pecked a kiss on her forehead. "He's never given me any complaints."

Nothing as strong as regret - nostalgia, perhaps. "Tell me if he does and I'll dust off the frog spell," she mock-threatened. She leaned up and kissed his cheek. "I always wanted you to be happy. I don't even need to ask if you are - it's as plain as the nose on your face."
.
"Did you make that work on non-shapeshifters?" he asked, teasing, then smiled. "I'm not gonna say never been happier, but... not for a while."

"No, but Jean-Phillipe doesn't know that," she replied with a grin. "And no telling."

"Not a word", he promised, grinning. "I wouldn't want to take your threats away."

"Bloody right." She glanced at the time. "Looks like we're on." She crooked her arm for him to take. "Let's go get you married."
