Molly and Logan clear branches from the woods. A couple of plans are formed.

"Echoooo," Molly called into the forest. They were deep enough in that the sound carried. Bending down, Molly's eyes flashed purple as she picked a few branches that easily added up to two of her.

"Where are we putting these again?"

Logan had his own armful of sticks that he was about to dump into the bin they'd been lugging along with them. It cut down on the million trips back and forth and with Molly's enhanced strength it wasn't nearly the hassle it normally was. "I've got a pile started closer to the mansion for bonfires during the summer and when we want things goin' in the fireplace in the winter."

Molly gave a firm nod. "Roger," she said, dropping a pile of sticks into the bin.

"The real question is....what if we want to make a log cabin in the woods out of them?'

Logan took a glance at the sticks in the bin. "We'd need a lot bigger sticks than that if we're wantin' a cabin." He dropped an armful of sticks into the bin himself. "Might be able to get one out here or near the lake. Just seems kinda pointless with the bigger places around."

"See, that'd be pretty cool. Like...somewhere people could go if they wanna chill away from everyone else, y'know?" Molly said, grabbing a rather large branch. Her eyes flared purple a moment as she snapped the branch in half on her knee. Then she raised her hand.

"But I get dibs on the first week, cause I thought of it."

She tilted her head thoughtfully. "I might get bored though. I should invite people. What do you think? Wanna help me build it?"

"Ya really think folks would want some place like that?" Logan figured with all the modern amenities in the mansion and in the world around them hanging out in a cabin in the middle of the woods wouldn't appeal to anyone.

"I could ask Scott about gettin' approval 'cause personally I'd prefer running water and heat out there in addition to all the rustic stuff considerin' it's gonna be on mansion land anyway."

He snorted at the branch. "Kid, we're gonna need actual tree trunks for that and not just branches and more folks that know how to actually woodwork and the like."

Molly grinned. "Dude, we got a whole mansion of people. Surely somebody else other than you's gotta know that," she said, throwing her branch pile into the wheelbarrow.

"You and me can break stuff and they could build with it. Cabins are cool cause sometimes the mansion's super crowded and you wanna go away and play some Fortnight in peace without someone stealing your chips and I'm totally looking at you Matt Murdock."

She coughed. "Okay I'm not looking at Matt specifically but just---thinking angrily about him like...really hard," she said, lifting her jaw. Pausing, she glanced down at the wheelbarrow.

"Uh...these look pretty full. Should we dump 'em?"

"Hmm, probably. Might be a good project for folks to do in their spare time. Can see who else might be interested and then go to Scott and Kane to get approval. Could be fun."

He looked at Molly in amusement. Video games weren't his thing but he didn't mind watching other folks play. The impotent frustration was amusing to see play out. He took a glance at the bins. "Yeah, let's go ahead. We're makin' good progress on getting some of the more used trails out here cleared."

Molly pumped her fists. "Awesome!" she said. Eying the wheelbarrow, her eyes glowed purple and she picked it up like it was a pillow, holding it over her head. "I don't want stuff to fall out," she explained with a shrug, then added.

"So did you ever live here? Like, in the forest? I mean, not this forest but A forest? You seem like you'd be totally at home as a mountain dude."

"Been in a couple here and there. It's nice gettin' away from folks for a while." At least until they started getting suspicious of the loner living in the woods. That's when things started getting complicated real fast. For the most part, it was usually the troublemakers he could spot a mile away and usually avoid.

"Always have to come back to civilization though. Hard to stay away too long 'cause people always need helpin'."

"Is that a bad thing?" Molly said curiously. She liked to help people but she didn't know if he had the chance and no one needed help if he'd just live on a mountain somewhere eating deer or goats or something.

"Nah, not really. Feels nice to have people welcomin' you back." And there would always be more important things out there to do than enjoying some peace and quiet out in the woods. "It's a good vacation to reset. But there's an element of running away from your responsibilities if it goes on too long." Logan shrugged. "I think it's good to have both. A vacation and something to come back to. What do you think?"

Molly nodded. "Totally agree," she said with a grin. "Vacations are awesome but so's home. That way you appreciate 'em even more. If you live at Disneyland it becomes less fun cause you'd see it every day."

She paused, squinting. "Okay, so, bad example. Living at Disneyland would be AMAZING. Uh...somewhere not there though. Mountain cabins and stuff. Boring AF." She tilted her head.

"Wait--have you ever been to Disneyland?"

Molly was either good about staying on topic for a very long time, or not very good at all.

He chuckled. "Can't say I have. Don't remember anyway. You sayin' we should plan a mansion vacation there?"

It wasn't a bad idea. It would give everyone something fun to look forward to and enjoy with each other.

Molly nearly dropped the wheelbarrow from excitement but quickly caught it, letting out a little squeaky-squeal that was cut off when she bit her lip in the middle of a huge grin.

"Yes! That--that is TOTALLY what I am saying. Disneyland vacation. Yep." That was not what she was saying, but it should have been because it was a fantastic plan.

Her parents used to have season tickets when they lived in LA but she hadn't been since she was 11. Obviously that needed to be fixed.

"Yes. Tomorrow? We should go tomorrow."

Logan tossed another handful of branches into the wheelbarrow while they walked. "How 'bout we go back and talk to Scott and see when would be a good time? Probably not tomorrow 'cause that's a lot of planning, tickets, and hotels we'll need to figure out. But maybe later in the summer? Or during a school break."

Molly made a grunt of disappointment, but nodded begrudgingly. If everyone was gonna get to go they did have to plan. Stupid realistic expectations.

"Okay okay," she said with a dramatic sigh.

She grinned. "This is gonna be awesome."
