Trigger Warning: NSFW, Minor/Adult relationship
Laurie and Nate get back from the concert, and they decide to take their relationship to the next step
Laurie laughed gently as they stumbled inside and closed the door behind them. It had gotten cold as they'd left the concert and the icy cold wind had made more than tempting to burrow herself into Nate's warmth as they walked from the car to the front door of the warehouse.
"Did you enjoy yourself?"
"That was pretty amazing..." He said, swaying a little from the booze. He suspected that Laurie had used her powers to limit some of the effects of the alcohol since he'd definitely had more than he'd ever had at one time. But his powers had been stable, even in the crowds and the emotions. He'd been able to join in the groups dancing, push through the throngs around the bar, without any of them setting him off. And it was all because of her.
“Here, we wouldn’t want your Dad thinking I brought his son home completely sloshed.”
Laurie placed her hand gently on his cheek before stepping forward to plant a kiss on him. She might have given him a shot of oxytocin in a lot of different ways, certainly ones less inappropriate to outsiders but she had to admit she found this the most pleasing.
"Let's not talk about Dad." He muttered as her lips cleared his.
“Maybe for the best,” Laurie agreed, moving her hand down his chest in a caress. “Maybe we could take this somewhere a bit more private?”
They’d been dancing around each other for a while, and while Laurie had had her doubts at first about this, Nate was such a remarkable person that she couldn’t and didn’t want to deny the attraction between them. Why shouldn’t she give him all the things his position and destiny denied him?
"I- yes." He said, although looked around for a moment. "Not a lot of places around here that aren't under some kind of... wait-" He took her hand and led her back out into the cold. He kept her close as he circled the building and then jogged with her about a quarter kilometer to a dry aqueduct. He helped her down to the bottom and then led her into a dark side access. With his phone in front, she followed him up until they reached a locked set of bars and a side door. It was locked, but a whisper of his power turned the tumblers and he pulled her through into a much warmer garage-like area.
"There's a tunnel from the labs to this place. There's three cars waiting, like... I don't know, an escape route? I found it poking around last year."
Laurie took in the space, pulling Nate with her as she walked further in. “That’s smart, if anything ever happens you’ll be protected.” She turned and walked backward as she watched him. “I’m glad you have a way out.”
"I wasn't thinking about a way out. I was-" Nate was trying to be smooth but looking at Laurie was unmaking him. "I thought. There's a big back seat."
“Oh love,” Laurie replied, affection more than apparent in her voice. “I know what you want, and we should definitely check out this big back seat. But I think we’re both wearing way too many clothes for that.”
Laurie reached up and started unbuttoning her winter coat, keeping her eyes on Nate’s as she shrugged it from her shoulders and let it hit the floor.
“Would you like to do the honors?”
"I-yes. But-" Nate said, his hands trembling a bit. He wanted Laurie more than anything else but he'd never so... "I can-" He said, starting to work on her shirt with shaky fingers.
Laurie brushed her hand against his neck, pushing calming hormones but diluting them so that it wouldn’t cause him to lose his need for her. She wanted him to enjoy himself, not be worried about performance.
“You're doing fine, we have all night.”
A sense of calm hit him, stilling his hands long enough to push back her shirt and face his first real woman's body. His mouth was dry as he let his hands travel. "Is this- is it okay?"
“More than okay,” Laurie said, sliding her hand from his neck to play with the soft cup of her bra, a sensual look in her eyes as she watched him watch her. She couldn’t quite undress him the way she wanted with only one hand but she was nothing if not resourceful. “Take off your shirt for me?”
He pulled off the flannel he was wearing, and the band merch shirt she'd bought him from the show. He was all lean muscle, with only a light patch of chest hair, and the odd tattoo on his left chest of the circle with the X through the middle.
Laurie reached between them and traced the tattoo with her fingers, wondering at its meaning.
“Does it have a purpose?” She asked.
"To my dad, yes. He has never explained it to me."
“Maybe you should ask him one day.” Laurie encouraged, letting her fingers drop lower to the edge of his pants as she moved closer. “Will you undo my bra?”
"I would but-" His voice melted away as he stripped her.
