Kurt & Alani | Set Up

xp_logs(backdated) In honor of last year, Kurt and Alani meet up at the community Halloween event.
Alani had been ecstatic at the possibility of helping with the trunk or treat event at the centre. Of course trying to think of a suitable, appropriate costume had haunted her till almost the day of, but she’d ended on Miss Frizzle’s bat dress, stowing away her second costume for afterwards. Beaming when she noticed the blue visage of Kurt she waved excitedly with one hand, arms full of treats and supplies for any child who approached her that night, separated by any age group she’d prepared for the night well in advance. “Hi, Kurt! Told you we’d see each other for the next Halloween event, didn't I?” Her already softer voice took ok a sing-song cadence as she approached him.
Kurt gave her a warm smile, holding out his hands in an offer to take some of her load. "You did indeed, and here I am. I would not have missed it."
"And I appreciate that about ya, Kurt." She laughed as she handed him a few bags. “I will admit, I may have over prepared, but I’d rather be over than ill prepared.”
"I do not believe there is any such thing as over prepared." He took the bags, balancing them carefully in his arms. "Even if some things prove unnecessary, they might not have."
"Thank you, Kurt, that is probably what I needed to hear right now,” she sighed, before quickly returning to smiling. “No definitely needed. What about you? Do anything fun in preparation that you want to share?”
"That would be telling." His grin turned a touch mischievous. "You will see when we get there."
Alani raised a brow, giving him a quizzical look, though she was fighting to not smile. "Ohh, so you were doing something secret and Halloween-y, and I get to find out with everyone else arriving? You're too good to me."
"I do like a good surprise", Kurt said serenely, "and I find so do most other people."
"It's true, you've broken us down to our core essentials." She laughed, shifting the load in her arms slightly to link one with him. "I'm very excited to see what you've done, and I know it'll be appreciated, so thank you."
"Then let us go and see." He took her arm cheerfully, turning to lead the way. "I will not even insist on you closing your eyes."
"Kurt, you better watch out or I'm gonna fall in love with you." Alani beamed at him, excitedly following his lead.
