Immediately follows this log with Domino - Moira comes out to tell the pair waiting that it's all right to see Nate now, but Amanda takes one look at Moira and insists on healing her. Just where she's getting the power from comes out in the process, and there is some degree of lecture.

Moira ducked out of the room Nathan had been placed with, murmuring over the link that she'd be back when he grumbled at her leaving. Outside, she clutched the doorframe and tried to clear her head. Not nearly as concussed as she had been afraid of, she was still not in the best shape she wanted to be. A dark bruise peeped through her hair and onto her forehead on one side, where the initial impact had happened. If she felt around, she could feel a smaller bruise close by, this one could be thanked on landing on the floor.

Still, able to walk and move was something she was glad she had, Moira reminded herself, heading out towards where she knew Domino and Amanda were waiting. She'd let them have some time with Nathan before she request they let him sleep. She leaned against the doorframe and nodded at the two, regretting the movement. "Ye can go see 'im, one at a time, for a brief while," she called out.

Amanda glanced up quickly, out of the chair almost immediately. Then she took in Moira's battered appearance and frowned. "You go first, Dom," she said to the older woman. "Two of us'll tire him out, I reckon."

Domino gave the young witch a slightly suspicious look, but didn't protest, briefly touching Moira's shoulder as she moved past the doctor and closing the door behind her. As soon as she had gone, Amanda took Moira's hands and gently but firmly led her to the chairs and made her sit down. "Yer a fuckin' mess an' I can help, if you let me," she said bluntly.

There was no real chance to protest until she found herself sitting down in a chair. "I'll be fine," Moira responded, voice exhausted. "Concussion'll go away soon enough." Though she wished it was sooner than later. It was making thinking rather difficult. And sleep was hard to come by, as well. "'sides, ye'll want ta save th' 'ealin' for Nathan."

"I can do both," Amanda said, figuring she'd get Moria fixed first and then deal with the consequences later. Although if she was concussed maybe she wouldn't yell so much... She squeezed Moira's hands gently. "Please, I can help. Let me?"

"Are ye sure this isnae goin' ta drain ye t' much?" Moira insisted. She was a doctor and didn't like the idea of being helped at the cost of someone else.

"Positive. Trust me, all right? I wouldn't offer if I couldn't." Yep, she was definitely going to be in trouble once Moira found out what she'd been up to, but Amanda was determined to get the benefits before the bollocking. "I can't do this if you ain't willin'."

Moira sighed and wilted a little. "Would be more useful ta be nay so injured," she admitted, eyes half closed to avoid the glare of the lights.

"Thought yer'd see it that way," said Amanda with a slight smile, pulling the other chair around so she faced Moira. Under the harsh lights the doctor's face was pale and washed-out, the bruises livid and ugly. Taking Moira's hands loosely in her own again, Amanda drew on her power, murmuring the Latin words of the spell and letting the healing energy flow into Moira. Warm golden light erupted from her hands, washing over the older woman.

Not having felt this before, Moira was oddly surprised at the sensations. She shivered, not in a bad way, as she felt the power creep up her body. The pain started to slowly dissipate, easing away much more gently than she had expected. Amanda's chanting of the spell was quiet but currently the only thing she heard, so it echoed in her ears.

This was so much easier when she had something to recharge with, Amanda reflected briefly as she continued the spell. She couldn't completely heal Moira, but she could ease the concussion and the bruising, and take away the pain. The irony of healing a doctor made her lips quirk briefly in a smile before she pulled her concentration back to where it was supposed to be. She kept it going for a few moments more, before ending the spell and sitting back with a slightly tired sigh. "There. Done. Feel better?" The last wasn't really a question; Amanda knew Moira felt better.

Moira blinked, pleased to find that opening her eyes didn't send a spike of pain through her brain. "Aye, I do. Thank ye," she murmured, thinking about it for a second. There was still a dull ache where she had been bruised and she knew she wasn't at one hundred percent, yet. But the healing that had just been done had eased a good deal of the pain, had made it easier to thinking, to act. Which is why she had allowed Amanda to help. "I think yer plannin' on 'ealin' Nathan next, aye?"

Amanda nodded. "Yeah. Just need a sec t' build up me power levels again." She slipped her hand into her jacket pocket, paused a moment as if hoping to avoid what was about to happen, and then pulled out the orb. It glowed a sullen red, flaring brighter as if it sensed her need for it. "Um, you probably ain't gunna like hearin' this..."

The reddish orb pulsed in the room and Moira felt her eyes tighten. "I was jus' 'bout ta ask ye were ye were gettin' th' energy from," she said, slowly, her mind starting to think on a much more normal track once again. "Probably nay, but I'm goin' ta 'ear it anyway."

"It's safe. Really. I've still got Rom's amulet on, so it's stopping me from gettin' too much, it's just lettin' me recharge faster is all." Amanda hastened to reassure Moira. "An' I've been workin' on me control, an' it's a lot better now. I can stop it when I need to." Mostly, he mind added not-so-helpfully. "An' if I was tryin' to pull one over on you, I wouldn't be tellin' you, would I?"

She thought about it, frowning. "Nay, but tellin' me 'bout it doesnae mean yer tellin' me th' *whole* thin'." Moira nodded, glad the movement didn't cause nearly as much pain as it would have a few minutes ago. "Yer lettin' Dr. Strange know ye 'ave this bauble, aye?"

"Of course," Amanda said, too quickly. The thought hadn't occurred to her earlier, but she had another name to add to the Won't Be Terribly Happy list. She sighed. "Look, I know I probably should've said somethin' at least, but there wasn't time. An' this is important - you really think I'd leave Nate or you in that state when there's somethin' t' be done t' help? I can handle it, really."

"'ow much power are ye drawin' from tha'?" she asked, making a note to drop a line to Dr. Strange at some point this week. "An' are ye sure?"

"Not enough t' heal you or him completely - 's not even close t' what I can get off Marko - but enough t' make a difference." Amanda pulled Romany's amulet out from under her shirt, the stones glowing brightly. "This is cuttin' me off before I get too much, so even if I couldn't control it..." She shrugged, deciding not to mention the non-physical part of her addiction definitely wasn't happy at all. Moira wasn't in the shape to deal with it, and she still had it under control, for now.

"Well, considerin' tha' ye'd probably ignore me if I told ye ta stop an' if ye really think tha'll 'elp..." Moira shrugged, still worried. But she'd alert Charles and talk to Strange later on, make sure that Amanda was, indeed, being watched over. Not that she didn't trust her, the worry for the younger woman was simply too strong to completely ignore the situation. "Come ta me if ye start feelin' any o' th' cravin's or th' side affects, or if'n ye need any 'elp at all."

Amanda nodded. "Of course." She glanced towards the door again. "So you'll let me do what I can? For Nate?" In her hands, the orb glowed again as she let her mutant ability absorb some of its power, enough to replace what she'd used.

"In th' condition 'e's in, aye." She shook her head and sighed ruefully. "Ye've done it before without me knowledge," Moira pointed out, dryly.

"Ain't my fault you medical science types're stubborn," Amanda said with a faint grin. She tucked the artefact back in her pocket and unfolded herself from the chair. "Now all right?"

"Aye. I'd prefer it if'n it 'appened while 'e was awake but ye may nay get tha' for a while. Jus' be careful, aye?"

"'S what I'm good at. Trust me," Amanda said again, mindful that she probably hadn't earned that, not after what she'd done to get a power source. She helped Moira up from the chair, though, an followed her to the door to Nate's room.
