Haven was a paradise. Freed from having to pander to the sensibilities of anyone else, Radha had shaped Haven to her own desires and it caressed her senses with delight; every part of it a harmonic symphony against her skin.
Those men, those stupid, stupid X-Men probably thought she was in some kind of hell, she reasoned. Suffering, because they had trapped her here.
But they would suffer. As everyone would suffer. Because the Mahapralaya hurtled towards them and they refused to believe. She had spoken, she had begged, she had pleaded and when no-one powerful had listened to words, had chosen to change, then she had showed them what the Great Dissolution would bring to them. Pain and suffering and death would stalk the world and those fools thought that the taste of it she gave them made her some kind of villain.
Short-sighted fools. Able to see the horrors she slapped their faces with, but unable to see the golden future she offered them beyond the end of all things. They rejected her, rejected the lessons she tried to teach them, and so they doomed themselves.
Radha smiled, and a butterfly’s wing caressed her cheek, slipped away to drift in the gentle breezes that carried the soft notes of beautiful music.
She would not doom mutants to death and dissolution because of the idiocy of a few men. That idiot Quentin (lusting after Abhay like a fool) thought he had trapped her in his prison. But this was her and she would turn her gift to examine every molecule of the wall that surrounded her, find the weakness, tear it open until she could end those who sought to keep her from saving mutants.
Haven was her heart and she would not let the X-Men break it again.
