After getting the people out of Radha's dimension, Hope finally wakes up.

There was something about a hospital that just got to you, that sullen feeling of dread, of worry that seemed to pervade the rooms and corridors of any medical establishment. It might have been the quiet, the silence that seemed to be enforced by a natural law of the universe or the sense of sameness that filled the air, you could take this room and drop it down in any hospital anywhere in the world and it would feel exactly the same, wouldn’t really raise an eyebrow. Oh, Sue knew intellectually that the bright fluorescent lights were a efficiency thing and the smell of the chemicals in the air were a cleanliness thing. But, that didn't mean she had to like it. At least no one here was demanding that she only be present during certain hours, she'd dragged a comfortable chair into the room, turning it so it faced Hope's bed as she curled up in it, a finger swiping through her tablet's screen idly as worried blue eyes lifted up to the bed every few minutes. There was no change, the multitude of machines connected up to the brunette would tell her if there was but...still sometimes you just wanted to check.

Hope slowly became aware of her surroundings, primarily the heavy drums being played in her head. Still the smells were familiar and she slowly forced her eyes open. Only to immediately squeeze them closed again as the bright light sent an extra lance of pain through her head. She could not stifle a low groan.

It was a small sound, almost lost in the background hum of the medical bay, the machines and lights that seemed to produce a small orchestra of their own, it was strangely lulling, not quite soothing buyt more akin to that droning hum that could send you to sleep. Almost lost that was. A blonde head jerked up, blue eyes narrowing as Sue pushed herself to her feet, peering down at her girlfriend. "Are you actually awake? Or are you snoring again?"

"Lights..." She croaked, struggling to shield her eyes with her hand. The light was so incredibly bright. "... hurts..."

The blonde's glare didn't abate for one moment as she extended a hand in the direction of the switch, slowly extending it before waving her hand down, plunging the room into darkness.

"Better?"

"A bit..." Hope pulled her hand away and blinked into the darkness. Her throat was so dry and scratchy. "Water?"

A gentle hand lifted the glass of water to her lips for a moment, letting the brunette slip at the water for a few moments, before it was returned to a side table. "I don't think you should overdo anything just yet."

"Not planning too..." Hope's voice was finally clearing up a little. "How long..? Is everyone okay?"

"Everyone else is just fine" Delicate fingers wrapped around Hope's shoulder's for a moment to help her up into a sitting position before Sue reached for a pillow. "You feeling okay, back with us in the land of the living? Cause then I'm going to kill you myself and bring you back to do it all over again."

"My head really hurts." She moved her head very carefully, slowly trying to stretch her neck a little, not really paying full attention to her girlfriend's words. "What day? And Quentin and Mr. Haller..." The pain in her head suddenly spiked and she fell back into the pillow. "Ow..."

"Are none of your concern, all you need to do is focus on getting better so that I can kill you, no need to worry about anyone else. In fact, I'd say that's Doctor's orders, I gave them myself after all."

“You’re no doctor…” Hope croaked out, squeezing her eyes shut and lying back down. “Gonna sleep some more…” Her voice already trailed of as quickly dozed off.
