Hope has a nice night with Sooraya and Alani. Unlike someone else.
"You know, for a main character, Usagi spends a lot of time running around, screaming her head off..." Sooraya commented, idly petting Hope's bright red hair. "Or being rescued by Tuxedo Kamen..."
“It’s a hard thing being the chosen one, and it’s different in the manga,” Alani supplied, a grin playing on her face as she watched the Sailor Scouts and Hope’s reactions equally. “There’s even some parts that take place in Hawaii, though I didn’t get that far reading them, my cousins just told me.”
“And he doesn’t usually save her! She’s the one who does everything. He just helps sometimes.” Hope curled happily under the blanket, leaning into Sooraya’s touch. “I wanna see Hawaii,” she added sleepily.
"I haven't been there either." Sooraya mused. "I really should go sometimes. You know, maybe when she is back we can offer Clarice a bribe to take us for a short visit? You must have some ideas for a nice spot to visit, Alani." She'd like to suggest a longer vacation, but with the chance of Cable returning any moment now, she'd take a short visit. Longer trips could be planned later.
"That would be so cool," Hope said, yawning; her eyes were fluttering shut, but she caught herself, determined to finish the episode.
“Yeah,” Alani agreed softly, though she was looking over Hope’s head to give Sooraya an amused grin. Luckily the episodes were short but it seemed pretty obvious Hope would be sleeping on their couch tonight. “Maybe we can make a day trip."
"A day trip sounds good." Sooraya replied softly, returning the grin. Gently she continued to pet Hope's, hoping to lull her into sleep. She knew enough that the girl didn't always have the most restful sleep. "Now let's hope Clarice gets back soonish."
Yellow eyes, unnoticed and unhappy, watched the scene unfold from the doorway. They had been there for some time. The watcher had come here in search of warmth and comfort only to find her place usurped.
As Hope drifted off Sharon watched the three for a moment more, then slipped back into the hall. There was no place for her here.
It was time for total war.
