(slightly backdated)Match asks Shatterstar if the vibes are off.
Things had seemed weird, off. Match couldn't put his finger on it, and it seemed like no one else knew what he was talking about when he'd tried to explain it, briefly. A familiar tall redhead appeared, and he paused in his journey to return to his room. "Yo, you busy, 'Star?"
"No," Shatterstar said and tried to subtly look Match over to see if he had been involved in any fights recently. He wasn't sure how recently Sharon had tried to eat Milton after all. "How is the little man?" he asked, referring to the lizard.
"Cool, cool, cool, he’s good, probably sleeping right now. So, I was wondering, uh, if things felt... off to you?" Match asked bluntly, unsure how to word it better potentially, and forcing himself to not get distracted by talking about Milton. Though he did make a mental note to maybe come back to the talking point.
"No," Shatterstar said maybe too quickly, thinking about how off balance he had felt since he and Rictor had held hands (for powers reasons only) again. His face flushed. "I mean. What kind of off?" There was also the fact that Sharon and Liam weren't talking, sure, but Match had to know about that already.
“Ohokay,” he’d responded immediately when Shatterstar had spoken, letting the words run together. Maybe it really was all Match overthinking things, not the problem he thought he usually ran into but- “Hmm, like Cats' not around much now that I think of it.”
"I think she's been a small cat since she and Liam had their fight," Shatterstar said. The few times he'd seen her she's been little and fluffy, at least.
"Cats and Liam had a fight?" There was utter confusion on Match's face as he heard of that for the first time. "Is he okay? Are you okay? What?"
"Yeah I'm fine, and he's fine now that the medlab looked at him," Shatterstar responded, brushing off the concern in his own confusion. "What do you mean you didn't know? It was kinda about you, I thought."
Nothing Shatterstar was saying made any sense. Match couldn't control the uncomfortable heat that was beginning to radiate off of him. "I don't- I don't know what you're talking about. What?"
"Because she pretended to eat Milton, was part of the reason they were fighting I thought," Shatterstar explained, taking a step back from the heat.
"That was between Sharon and I, not- Liam had nothing to do with it." The confusion was only growing, and Match took a step away from 'Star as well. "I gotta, uh, I gotta go."
"Okay?" Shatterstar said, and let Match go in his confusion.
