Shatterstar and Sam mutually agree they need a fight.
Shatterstar had been vaguely aware that Sam Guthrie had been gone, but too busy trying to take care of Sharon and Liam to actually know or even care why. They were passing each other on the way through the doors, 'Star about to get a well-needed run in. He examined Sam's face.
"Sam." He greeted. "You look... Bad."
Sam couldn't help the laugh it startled out of him. "Thanks Star."
The kid didn't look that great either, but Sam didn't really wanna tell him that. With the way he'd hardly been managing to sound like himself lately he didn't think it would hit as teasing as he wanted it to.
"Do you want to fight about it?" Shatterstar asked, hoping selfishly that Sam would agree. He, too, could really really use a fight and let himself lose himself in sensation and predicting Sam's next move.
Relief washed over Sam in a way that made him feel almost guilty. He was sure the kid could see the way the suggestion made him relax almost instantly. "God," He laughed. "Please? Jus' let me grab my wraps and I'll meet you there?"
Shatterstar's face had a relieved little smile at Sam's acceptance and he was already jogging down to the gym, tying up his hair before he had even let Sam finish his sentence.
