Clea and Meggan check out the Mean Girls next.

Following the moment of dislocation, they found themselves standing just outside of the food court of a mall. It had all been described in the briefing but that was different than actually being here, looking through someone else's eyes.

"That was trippy." Clea said to herself as the dizziness passed and she looked around at her surroundings and felt something buzz in her hand and saw a Blackberry in her hands with a message that read 'U here?'

“Yeah,” Meggan agreed without hesitation. She was grateful the spinning sensation passed quickly before it made her either fall over or do anything too dramatic. She took in the busy food court with curiosity, but definitely wasn’t about to wander too far away and get herself lost before they could meet up with anyone.

"Okay, looks like we are right where we are supposed to be." She quick sent a text back and looked up. "I told Janet that we are at the food court. I guess we are doing some shopping today while gathering intel."

Meggan had been a little bit worried they would be too far afield from their point of contact upon getting here, so she was mostly relieved for that news. “That shouldn’t be too bad an experience to get through for gathering it, in the grand scheme of things,” she smiled.

Clea nodded, "I mean, shopping never hurt anyone." Looking at Meggan and returned her smile. "Just have to put on our mean girl act for the duration. Once we have what we need, we can leave." She scanned the area and saw two girls walking their way. "Show time."

Meggan quietly took a steadying breath, before smiling as they approached. She really hoped she could be convincing with the whole mean girl aspect.

"Oh god, Clea, Meggan... did you hear about Stark? He bombed his entrance exam so hard he's not even allowed into MIT's daycare." Janet Van Dyne snorted as she laughed. From an outside perspective, she was kind of unpleasant in multiple ways, but she had the class defining clothes and the money to rule.

"He's so fetch!"

"Stop trying to make fetch happen. It's not happening." She snapped at Yelena.

"He is a bloody neek." Clea join Janet's laughter with just a smile of her own. "Though I heard another rumor, this one involves you two. Want to hear it?" Clea gave a slight devlish smirk.

“And what we heard? It's absolutely riveting,” Meggan added with a big grin.

"Rumours? This isn't about Osborn is it? Because, like, no. Not even with Yelena's body."

"Hey!"

"The rumor mill has been saying that you got into Mr. Banners office." Clea said. "During a basketball game no less. Wanna share the details?"

"That all depends. What's it worth it to you for an A on the big final science test this year?" Janet said in a manner that she assumed was clever but more looked like she was trying to cock her head fully sidewise.

Meggan doubted she meant money. She wondered what would be more believable at this juncture, and went with the lowest and silliest offer first. Her tone was wry when she spoke. “Well, for starters, on my part? If it could happen? You would get at least three rotations around the dance floor with my date at the dance.” She hoped Clea could do better.

She shook her head, before adding, “But the details!”

"One of the nerds had the hots for Mary-Sue, so we 'convinced' him we'd tell her to go out with him if he let us into the room while Mr Banner was coaching vollyball." Janet said, obviously in she thought was a conspiratorial tone. Yelena took pictures of all the questions and answers, and we were back out the door. And all it cost was us pretending to ask Watson to date some dweeb."

"Is if!"

"I know, right? You girls want to ace the last big test of the year? I'm taking the best offers for the answers."

Meggan nodded happily, managing to look like she was practically giddy to do just that. Then, she leaned closer. “And you didn’t happen to grab anything else in there that we’d think was even juicier?” She wanted verification, but then added a small shrug to it so she hopefully wouldn’t cause any insults. “The rumor mill was just getting over dramatic again, if you didn’t!”

"An A in science was more than enough."

"My dad said he'd buy me a classic Ford Thunderbolt if I got an A."

"What's that?"

"I think it's a car."

Meggan had just turned away, but paused as she heard the last. “A really classic one; hope you get it,” she waved over her shoulder. It was unfortunate that she and Clea had not discovered the device’s whereabouts. The hunt would just have to continue for a little while longer.
