Doug gets shoved into Angie's room by Jamie. He is hyper, so she decides to take him on a walk out by the pool. They chase each other a bit, then Angie tries to push him in the pool. She gets hoist by her own petard, though, and then they head back to the mansion to get ready to go see the movie. Pretty much just fluff.

Doug practically flew through the door to Marie-Ange's room due to a healthy shove from Jamie. His laptop was under one arm, and he bounced up and down.
"Fifthdawnharrypottersiriusblacknewcardsnewcardsnew...mmmphmmppph...."

Having decided that if Doug was not distracted, quickly and thoroughly, Jamie, or someone -else-, might take it on themselves to find a room and lock him in it, Marie-Ange had been waiting at the door. On the fourth or fifth bounce from Doug, she grabbed his arms firmly, and covered his mouth with hers, figuring even Doug could not babble excitedly when being thoroughly kissed.

Doug carefully maintained his grip on his laptop with one hand, curling the other around Marie-Ange's neck and kissing back enthusiastically. Finally breaking for air, he grinned even more goofily. "Hello, love," he murmured.

Shaking her head, Marie-Ange could only laugh. "Poor Jamie. I think you're scaring him a little, and if you scare him, we will lose our third person for the team event. " She stuck out her tongue and made a face, still obviously amused at Doug's exuberance.

Doug grinned. "But I had this brilliant idea. If we convince Alison to let us bring Miles along, we can have our team, and then Jamie could get three different DCI numbers and play on his _own_ team. It'd be hilarious. Sure it might be a little unethical, but it'd be _fun_!"

"No." Marie-Ange said firmly, after fighting back a case of the giggles. "Miles is good at playing casually, but he is not so good that we can bring him to a tournament. Besides, it is not a good place for small boys. The language..."

Doug nodded. "You're probably right, although prereleases tend to be a bit more casual than PTQs and such. But yeah, I know he's probably not as good as I'd like to think, seeing as I've been teaching him." He grinned. "But maybe we can get him ready for the next one."

Marie-Ange covered her face with one hand, shaking her head and laughing. "They have a junior division, yes? If Alison thinks it is a good idea, and trusts us with Miles' image inducer, than maybe he could do that, later." She kissed Doug gently on the cheek, and smiled at him. "You are too cute for words today."

Doug carefully placed his laptop on Marie-Ange's bed and twirled her around playfully before kissing the tip of her nose. "Yes, there is a junior division. And I'm more than happy to bring Alison along if she would like to be there to keep an eye on him. I think it'd be fun." He grinned. "And I'm too cute for words, am I? Giving you any ideas?" He wiggled his eyebrows comically.

"I think that Alison at a Magic Tournament would possibly want to start lasering people." Marie-Ange said, still snickering. "Not the most socially well-adjusted crowd, if you recall." She glanced around the currently-empty room, and smiled. "Yes. You are too cute for words, but I have roommates who could come back, and so anything I would want to do will have to wait."

Doug nodded. "This is true. Going to a Magic tournament always makes me feel a little better about myself, both in terms of physical appearance and social life." He grinned even wider. "Care to adjourn elsewhere to explore those impulses, then, milady?"

Marie-Ange glanced over her shoulder out the window, and smiled. "It is far too nice of an evening to spend inside. We should go for a walk." Outside had pretty places to walk, and a nice breeze, and most importantly, privacy, if they were careful.

Doug tapped at his white noise generators to make sure they were up to the task of dealing with any cicada noise outdoors, then offered his arm to Marie-Ange. "Shall we, then?" He made a sweeping motion with his other arm toward the door.

Holding hands, the couple headed down the hall, Marie-Ange still giggling at Doug's absolutely unflappable good mood. It had been far too long since he was like this, in her estimation. Once outside, they paused briefly at the patio, trying to decide on just where to take their walk.

Doug bounced. "Have I mentioned that I can't wait to go see Prisoner of Azkaban? It's going to be so much fun. And I even get to drive!" He giggled slightly.

Marie-Ange shook her head, laughing slightly. "I think, no sugar for you at the movie. It is good that you are happy, but I think ..." She giggled and glanced over Doug's shoulder, eying the area just a bit beyond the patio. Inspired, she tensed as if to run, and tapped him lightly on the shoulder. "Tag. You are it." - and ran, darting past Doug, towards the pool.

Doug grinned. The child's game appealed to his childlike sense of giddiness and anticipation. He chased after Marie-Ange, staying close as she darted around pool chairs and tables. Finally, toward the deep end of the pool, he caught up to her and tickled her waist lightly.
"Got you," he responded.

Marie-Ange squealed, and tried to pry Doug's hands from her ribs. She took a step towards the pool, and a mischievous grin passed over her face. "Do you?" she asked, impishly, and stepped to the side, giving Doug a light shove towards the water.

The only problem with that was that Doug was able to read her intentions in her body language, and managed to grab Marie-Ange around the waist as he toppled toward the pool, twisting so they both splashed into the water on their sides. Doug reached the surface first, spluttering a bit and pushing wet hair out of his face.

A few seconds later, Marie-Ange surfaced, grinning. "Whoops?" She said, laughing. "It seemed like a good idea.. "

Doug chuckled. "At least I managed to give you your comeuppance," he replied, swimming a bit closer and kissing her gently.

Pulling herself up to the edge of the pool, Marie-Ange wrung water from her hair, and smiled down at Doug, who was still treading water. "Silly thing.." she said, affectionately.

Doug grinned. "But that's why you love me, dear," he responded, an artfully innocent look on his face. He watched unabashedly as Marie-Ange's shorts clung to her rear end as she pulled herself out of the pool.

"One of the reasons, yes." Glancing down at her now soaked clothing, Marie-Ange mock-scowled, and then snickered. "And now I need to change clothes before the movie. I suppose a Ravenclaw sweater would be too much?" she said, impishly.

Doug grinned impishly. "A Ravenclaw sweater sounds nice. I'm going to be wearing my Gryffindor scarf that my mom knit me. And do I get to see you in a towel?" He winked as he pulled himself out of the pool.

Still not entirely used to flirty Doug who did not blush half as much as before, Marie-Ange blinked for a moment, than smiled. "No, but only because you have to go change in your room, where your clothes are, silly."

Doug pouted slightly. "Well, that's no fun. But oh well." He shook himself like a dog, spraying water in all directions. He offered his arm to her as they squelched off towards the mansion.
