Kyle and Clea discuss a second greenhouse, just for magic plants.

Clea sipped on her tea as she looked towards the greenhouse. The greenhouse has been largely successful in growing different kinds of vegetables, flowers, and edible herbs. But Clea's thoughts had turned towards the plants used for magical purposes. She didn't want to risk people boycotting her ambitions because magical plants could be used for nefarious reasons, so she thought about building a second greenhouse with the sole purpose of growing magical plants, separate from the rest. She just needed help.

Speaking of help, she saw just the guy she wanted to see. "Kyle!" She called to the man and waved. "I require your assistance if you have a moment."

"S'up?" Kyle's morning had been carrying bags of soil over to the greenhouse, so catching Clea in the path between mansion and yard wasn't all that surprising. "You mind grabbing doors for me? I can double up." He patted the bag of soil over one shoulder and then hefted a second. "Two trips instead of four, and then I'm done and can get the actual dirty work started."

"Sure." She said and picked up a back of soil as well and put it over her shoulders, "Still two trips but will less baggage." She winced, at that pun she didn't mean to make. "I wanted to ask you Kyle, would it be possible to build a second greenhouse? I wanted one for the sole purpose of growing magical plants and I know some people at the mansion are a little iffy about magic so I wanted to keep it seperate from the regular plants."

"Hell, if you're getting one." Kyle considered the third bag of dirt. It would be one less trip.. but he'd probably have to stick his claws in to steady it and it would leak. Maybe he could talk Madin or Liam into getting that one - but then he'd still have to wait. He picked it up, balancing it carefully. "Yeah, we've got plans for the first around here, so it shouldn't be too hard to get a second one in. Just gotta pull a permit." He gave a little head nod as Clea headed towards the greenhouse and ducked around her, her bag, and through the door. "Actually probably easier to walk and talk this out. You probably want it close to the first one, makes extending the piping for water easier, power lines for lights, that kinda thing. How much room do you guys need for magic, I dunno, security mojo?"

Clea held the door open for him and then walked in after, "Yes. I was thinking it was slightly smaller than the greenhouse. I thought maybe having it connected or at least a walkway with some cover for those cold days. I can easily put runes up that can add the security and alert one of us if someone enters. I don't want to discourage people from learning about the magical plants but I would prefer if myself, at least, is around. Or would maybe a keycard be better? Just keep people out in general?"

"We can get a keycard setup, easy peasy. Same setup as the toolshed.." Kyle agreed. "Drop me a text with whoever you want on it, me or Madin can set it up." He shifted the third bag on his shoulder a little, trying to balance with the unbalanced load while talking and walking. "Other than security for people, do you need anything weird in there? Everything I know about magic comes from reviewing terrible YA novels, or being cursed a few times."

"Thanks. I have a few people that can be on the list." Clea thought about the next question as they walked. "Is there a way to create a system that can capture the rainwater and have it flow into a collection system? And what kind of YA novels are you reading?" The red head laughed, "I don't think any other weird things. Oh, a section for a table and some apothecary drawers and a place to hang mature plants. I'll be drying out some of the herbs to use in spells. I am tired of going to the local markets to get my supplies and rather just grow them myself. I'll need to replenish my spray cans soon."

"Won't even be a thing, we're already doing that for the other one. Gutters and rain barrels feed into the grey water, and that goes into the greenhouse sprinklers and drip pipes." Kyle said this as though he'd designed the system. He had not. He'd done a lot to maintain it, but the system was long ago designed by a man he still grieved the loss of. "I teach teenagers, I read all the YA novels. Anything I see them reading, or see on popular lists. It's why." He sighed. "It's why I know way more about Twilight than I ever wanted."

"Oh, is that what that is?" She looked over at the other greenhouse. "I really need to expand my knowledge outside of what I know." Looking back at Kyle, "Oh Twilight? I think I remember reading that when I was 14 or 15. I haven't seen the movies, but I remember them looking like marble statues. What kind of vampires look like that? But now I know what to get you for the Holidays and payback for the second greenhouse."

"Couple of folks were on a very reduce, reuse, recycle kick for a while. It's why the kitchens all have those compost bins everyone never uses." Kyle said. "But mostly it means we recycle a lot of water into the sprinklers, it's a pretty cool setup, so all I'd have to do is expand it out."

"I wonder if I could bewitch them so that any trash that goes into any bin, goes into the correct bin." Clea wondered out loud, "That does sound like a bloody brillant and useful setup. I hope I am not creating more work."

"You do that and you're gonna end up with people asking you to help their kitchens." Kyle said. "I mean, on one hand, there's a lot of us. On the other, you could get so many free dinners out of that. Think of how many times you could just get me or Terry to drop you a casserole alone."

"You're tempting me aren't you. Because a casserole dinner sounds delightful." Clea thought about it for a second, "Okay I will do it. First I'll experiment on my own to make sure that it actually works before I move on to phase two: Yours. I should have it down by the Holidays." Clea smiled.

"I mean look even if it's just sorting my food scraps into some ... magic fertilizer." Magic made no sense, but this magic Kyle would decide to not hate. "That'd be pretty great."

"I can do that. And with that magic fertilizer we can have our own herbs and plants growing. Mother Earth would be grateful." Clea said to Kyle with a nod. "I'll let you know when it is ready"
