LOG: Piotr/Paige
Jul. 6th, 2004 03:48 pmPiotr wants to paint again and Paige is his next target.
It's called "artist inspiration" and Piotr was getting a strong urge to paint. His past few weeks at the mansion had been uneventful so he wanted to start painting again. He was always good a portraits, but who would he paint? He searched his brain for possible canidates. Warren was an obvious choice, but he had already painted Warren. Piotr was looking for a new face. He finally decided on Paige. She was sweet to him and had a great look. He started the hunt to find her in the mansion.
Paige was in her favourite place, inside at least, the sunroom. If she couldn't be outside -- which she couldn't right now, it was much too hot and while she could deal with it, sunstroke was a bother -- she could at least get as close to it as possible. Besides, she had good memories in here. She had literally found herself a sunny spot and settled herself in one of the chaise longues, with a glass of water and a book. It was the perfect time to be here, the tomatoe plants smelled fantastic.
After knocking on her door, peeking in the library and lastly the kitchen, Piotr was running out of ideas. Terry passed by Piotr's vision, "Terry! Have you seen Paige?" he asked.
"I last saw her in the sunroom," she replied.
"Oh, thank you," he smiled and continued on his way.
He discovered Paige lounging her a comfy chaise heavily immeresed in a book. "Uh, excuse me Paige?"
It took Paige a moment to realize that there was someone standing nearby, even after he had said her name. Raising her eyes she did actually look somewhat surprised for a moment, before smiling. "Oh, hello, Piotr. Sorry, summer reading." Closing the book politely, she took off her glasses and set them down. "What can I do you for?"
"Paige, I've been thinking about how I want to get back into painting and I need your help," Piotr said with glee.
"Um, sure!" she replied, looking interested. She might not have any artistic talent, but she was always willing to help. "Do you need me to drive you into town or something?
"Heh," he chuckled, "no no no, I need you to model. I'm a portait artist and I need someone to paint!" his smile could have split the walls in two.
"Oh, you need me to mode- you need me to what?" This was starting to feel like a really bad sitcom, in Paige's head, as she stared at him, eyes quite big. "You must be joking."
His grin faded..."No, I'm not joking. I need someone to paint and I want to paint you. Is that not okay?"
Paige was trying very hard not to splutter. "I... well you see... it's not... I guess... I..." So much for that idea. She gestured wildly for a moment, on the brink of a flail, before finally spitting out. "Why? I mean, why me?"
Piotr burst into laughter. "Paige! Because you're nice, cute and you have a great look. Landscapes don't need reasons why they're being painted. It's because they are beautiful." He caught himself. "We're just friends, Paige."
"I know, Piotr, I know. And trust me, I don't need nor want any more boyfriends." She smiled a little, colour coming to her cheeks, whether from his compliments or her mentioning of Jono and Angelo, unsure. "I might be nice and cute, but I'm certainly not beautiful. I don't know what you're talking about, this look thing, but I do know that there are so many gorgeous people here why in the world you would want..."
He hushed her by petting her hand. "Paige, this insecure bit is not going to work on me. I want to paint and I want to paint you. Would it help you if I offered the painting to Angelo for his upcoming birthday?" Piotr wondered.
Paige only managed to blush more, looking away. "Um. Maybe?" That means yes, in case you missed it.
Piotr jumped to his feet. "Wonderful! Let's set up a time when we can meet for a few hours. I'll need about three hours to paint your outline and details I can fill in from memory." he was so excited.
"Okay?" Paige was very afraid he was going to bounce himself out the window, and while that would mean she wouldn't have to do this, she was also kind of fond of Piotr. "Um. I only have my summer language classes now. Otherwise, I just keep myself busy and that can be moved around."
"Great. Let's say this Saturday in my suite. That way if people want to use the art room, we won't be in their way. Thank you so much Paige!" He was so extatic to be painting again. Hell, to be doing anything again.
"Okay?" Paige repeated, doing her best deer in headlights impersonation. She did manage to smile slightly, though. "Sounds great."
"Thanks again Paige." Piotr took a deep breath, shook her hand and strutted away leaving her in her dumb-founded state, book still in hand.
