After classes, Tuesday, Kitty goes to Alison for reassurance.

x_kitten (9:44:25 PM): *a series of raps are sounded on Alison and Lorna's door*

x_dazzler (9:45:14 PM): *laughing to herself at Kitty's latest reply* Lemme guess. Kitty! Come on in.

x_kitten (9:46:01 PM): *she hurridly opens the door*
Alison?
x_kitten (9:46:21 PM): *she's chewing on her lip, looking worried*

x_dazzler (9:47:30 PM): *blinks at Kitty's expression and sits on the sofa of the common room, patting a spot nearby for Kitty to claim* Hey. It's ok really you know. John's posted, it's all good. I was probably making a fuss over nothing...

x_kitten (9:48:41 PM): *she drops on to the sofa, giving off biting at her lip*
He said you needed sign of *life*. That doesn't sound like nothing...

x_dazzler (9:49:59 PM): *curling up on the sofa, sighing* I wasn't sure that anything could be done... and it might have been nothing more than curfew or something. He just signed off... abruptly. *shrugs, shaking her head* He didn't sound too thrilled when he did.

x_kitten (9:50:54 PM): Could be done? *her eyebrows knitt together* I don't... I don't understand.

x_dazzler (9:53:44 PM): *smiles wanly* To find out if he was alright or not. Only way to contact him right now is online really... And if his current - associates decide that he's not to contact us anymore, all they'd need to do is remove his access. Or even the computer. *sighs* Anyway, I sent him an email this morning to remind him that giving sign of life was a good thing. And he did. So it's ok.

x_kitten (9:55:52 PM): Oh... *kitty sits thoughtfully, her thumb nail straying to her mouth, she carelessly bit at it, not realizing what she was doing* I... I didn't even think of that. We'd never know if something happened.

x_dazzler (9:58:15 PM): *nods quietly, a somber look on her face, clearly having thought of that very fact long and hard* That's right. Or we'd know only later... I'm sure the Professor keeps tabs on him somehow. I hope so anyway. But - we can't know. *gently* And the people he's with probably... don't have his best interests at heart.

x_kitten (10:00:26 PM): Yeah... I know. *she chews some more on the thumb* And yeah, the professor's probably watching him... *the biting gets a little more emphatic* Not that the professor'd... Never mind. *she abruptly realizes what she's doing and moves her hand away from her mouth*

x_dazzler (10:02:46 PM): *nods and smiles sadly* He can probably only keep track of John so much. And he does have other issues to take care of, after all. So when he logged off so abruptly - I worried. But there was nothing much to do really, other than that. If the Professor had been out of Cerebro, I'd have asked. And if John hadn't answered that email by tomorrow, I'd have probably hunted down Emma to ask... *shrugs, hating the feeling of not being able to do anything in situations like that*

x_kitten (10:03:45 PM): *she looks up at this* Do you think Ms. Frost is keeping tabs on him too?

x_dazzler (10:04:42 PM): *smiles, less sadly, a calmer look in her eyes* I'd be very surprised if she wasn't, to be honest. *tilts head* You could always ask her, if you'd like to know for sure.

x_kitten (10:06:30 PM): *Kitty nods* I think I might. I haven't had much time lately, and... well... I should have thought of this earlier.

x_dazzler (10:09:46 PM): *shakes head* It's a lot to think of, Kitty. There's no blame to place here. And John has been presenting a good front to all about it, after all. *wrinkles nose, thinking that his front's not that good these days, even in general posts*

x_kitten (10:11:30 PM): Yeah, I guess... *she admits, leaning forward and propping her head in her hands, another nail slipping towards her mouth*

x_dazzler (10:13:25 PM): *nods and gives her a sheepish look* So, that was why. And I'd have found you to let you know if you hadn't come up already. I just... didn't really want to lay it out like that for everyone to see, I guess. And there's stuff I wouldn't have said for John to see like that anyway. He'd have gotten all huffy and stuff.

x_kitten (10:14:31 PM): *she smiles, catching herself before she starts biting her fingers again* Yeah, that's probably true. Ok, thanks. I guess I feel a little better knowing what it was.

x_dazzler (10:16:05 PM): *reaches out to pat her shoulder, looking relieved* Glad to hear that, then. Oh! I'm going to send him a package soon. Think you can find a pirated copy of Pirates of the Caribbean for him online, somewhere? *grins at using the word pirated*

x_kitten (10:16:47 PM): *she grins back* No problem. Pirated pirates I can do. Think he'd like... um... LXG, or the new Tomb Raider movie?

x_dazzler (10:19:10 PM): *laughs* See if you can get either or both, and I'll just add them in. I'm sure he won't complain too much.

x_kitten (10:19:54 PM): Yeah, sure. *she stands up* I already know where I can get ahold of Pirates and LXG. Laura Croft might take a day or so, but I bet I can get it...
x_kitten (10:20:05 PM): And Legally Blonde. *she laughs* It'd amuse him

x_dazzler (10:20:42 PM): *blink* Say... burn me an extra copy of Pirates? I'll give it to Lorna. *laughs at the Legally BLonde comment*

x_kitten (10:22:18 PM): Sure, I can do that.

x_dazzler (10:24:23 PM): Thanks. *looks at clock* Am going to have to kick you out, I'm afraid. I've a concert to get ready for. *gets to her feet with a cheerful look*

x_kitten (10:25:06 PM): Oh, right. The Linkin Park, yeah? *kitty stands up* I only know one of their songs, and I like it, but I figured I was already doing enough concerts...

x_dazzler (10:25:52 PM): *stands up too* Yep. Looks like it's only Sam and I. *shrugs, unable to repress a grin* Not that I mind, now and then.

x_kitten (10:26:46 PM): *smiles* No, I wouldn't think you would.

x_dazzler (10:28:23 PM): You got that right. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow, Kitty. Have a good evening, mmm? *leans in doorway*

x_kitten (10:29:14 PM): You too. *she waves as she heads down the hall, heading for the stairs*

Two days later, Kitty delivers the burned movies. They all have their titles and little editorial comments written on them.
Pirates of the Carribean: Arrrr! Avast me harties.
Tomb Raider 2: Her assests are so digitally enhanced...
LXG: Forget Sawyer, no matter how pretty Bale normally is. Watch Dorian, he totally steals the movie.
Legally Blonde 2: Honestly, it's funny. I swear.
