Once the craziness in medlab has died down to a dull roar, Cecilia slips out to go and find some edibles for herself, the doctors, and assisting students. Instead, she finds Scott. He wobbles, he wibbles, and she helps him back down to medlab to get a second opinion on his headache.

Mission report was done. Report to Charles in person was done. Awkward conversations, take one, were done. There were lots more he probably needed to be having, but Scott really couldn't think of any at the moment... swaying, he leaned a hand against the wall beside him and paused. The world would quit moving anytime now, he was sure.

Medlab had been officially insane, and once she was sure that things were settling down and she could take a minute, Cecilia had slipped out to go grab some edibles for the doctors and other helping hands. But first things first.

"Careful," she called as she hurried towards the wobbly-looking man, her brow knitting in concern. She'd checked him for a concussion already, hadn't she? Or did Madelyn? "Scott?"

Scott blinked at her. "Cecilia?" he asked a bit doubtfully. "What... is everyone okay?"

"A little roughed up, but everybody's going to be fine," Cecilia replied soothingly, reaching out to try and gently take him by the crook of his arm. "You look like shit. Come sit down."

"I had a building dropped on my head," he said, making a feeble attempt to make it sound like a joke. "I'm allowed."

Cecilia made a light noise of agreement, casting a quick look up and down the hall for chairs before shrugging to herself and trying to guide Scott to sit on the floor. "You are definitely allowed. How's your head..? Did we check you for a concussion? It was crazy in there, we may have missed you."

"We have two concussions," Scott said firmly, letting her help ease him down to the floor. Nice floor. Non-moving floor. "Not allowed three." He blinked at her. "We only have two, right?"

"Assuming you don't have one, we only have two," Cecilia confirmed, smiling as she dropped down to crouch in front of him. She eyed the visor for a moment, and made a little bit of a face. Well. Damn. Do this the other way, then. "How's your head feeling..? Any ringing in your ears?"

"My head is... quite sore," Scott said after a moment, a bit put off by how intently she was regarding him. Wasn't used to seeing the medical squint from someone that young. "No ringing, though I may have been seeing double a little..."

"I'll bet. Buildings are heavy." Cecilia smiled a bit, then held up three fingers with a questioning tilt of her head. "Drowsiness, nausea.. trouble focusing?"

"Four... no, three. Yes, no, and oh man, yes..."

Cecilia dropped her hand, regarding him for a moment before offering him an almost apologetic smile. "Sounds like you might have rattled your head a bit, honey. You up for a walk back to medlab so Madelyn can give us a second opinion? There's some aspirin in it for you.." And if he wasn't up for walking, she could call for Hank and get him to come carry Scott back.

Scott sighed. "Never let it be said that I have an aversion to doing the smart thing," he said, letting her help him back up. The dizziness was intense, if brief, and he leaned a bit heavily on her as they moved back towards medlab. "Everyone else is okay, you said?"

Good man. "Roughed up, but they'll be just fine," Cecilia confirmed, wrapping her arm around Scott and letting him use her for support with a brief blink of surprise. Boy's heavier than he looks. "Just make sure they take it easy. That goes for you, too."

"Don't know whether or not we'll get the chance to do that," Scott muttered. "I made Moira a promise..."

Cecilia lightly patted Scott on the chest with her free hand, then left it there for extra support as she began to carefully guide him back toards the medlab. "And you'll keep it," she agreed gently. "But don't overdo it. If you break yourself, they don't have to hit you as hard to do it for you."

Scott laughed a bit tiredly. "You've kind of gotten thrown right into the deep end here," he said as she led him onwards. "I'm sorry. I really wish we could acquire the occasional new person and make sure they have an uneventful, relaxing first couple of weeks..."

"Nothing for you to apologize for," Cecilia smiled, looking up at him. "I've done the 'trial by fire' thing before, honey. One more run through isn't gonna kill me."

Scott nodded, then wished he hadn't. But he liked Cecilia, he decided impulsively. She had a certain steadiness about her that was definitely in short supply around here. He was very appreciative. "You and Moira," he said finally. "You've been getting along?"

Cecilia nodded slowly, her smile softening as she returned her attention to the path ahead of them. "Very well," she confirmed quietly. "It probably helps that I haven't been lording over her newfound inability to have coffee over her."

"She's going to need..." He stopped, sighing. "Sounds so frivolous, to say 'her hand held'. But I'm worried." The memory of her going absolutely to pieces on him a few hours ago was still too fresh. "She does so much for all of us here," he murmured. "People are constantly leaning on her. Has to happen in reverse, now, and I'm not sure she knows how to do that..."

"I think the three of us are going to be taking turns holding her hand," Cecilia replied, once again offering his chest a light pat. "Don't worry, Scott. You and the others focus on bringing Nathan home. We'll focus on keeping her in one piece 'til you do."

"I'm glad I'm not the one who has to decide what to tell the kids," Scott sighed. "That's going to be hard... I can't see the ones who were helping out in the medlab not spreading the word anyway."

Cecilia grinned faintly. "Word always spreads. If it didn't, I wouldn't have nearly as much to tease Haroun about, and how sad would that be?" She shrugged, careful not to jar him in the process. "I imagine the kids will be told the truth."

"Right. Can't have them complaining we're keeping secrets from them.." He trailed off, grimacing a little as Cecilia gave him a questioning look. "Old argument. Very old argument."

Cecilia couldn't help rolling her eyes. "If they complain about a lack of full disclosure again, I reccomend having the faculty go into great detail about their sex lives," she mused. "Start off their classes with a recap. See how much they like their full disclosure then."

"Moira and Nathan probably would volunt--" Scott stopped. "The two of them were always making jokes about that," he murmured. "Scandalizing the students..."

"You're using past tense," Cecilia observed, giving Scott a poke in the ribs as she helped him towards the door. Ah. Medlab. "He's going to come home, and they'll go right back to scandalizing the students. And quite possibly the teachers, too."

Yes, he definitely liked Cecilia. Optimism was a good thing. "You're right," he said firmly, looking down at her. "All two of you." See? he thought silently at the students. He did have a sense of humor.

Cecilia beamed up at Scott, wiggling her eyebrows as she reached out to open the door. "We're glad you see it our way," she replied lightly. "Now, let's find you a chair, and get that head of yours looked at."
