Less than two seconds after hitting 'send' on the latest journal comment Kitty was sliding through the wall separating her room from Jamie's - taking care not to walk through anything too important in the way of electronics. "Jamie, love?" she asked quietly, spotting him sitting by his computer and coming to wrap her arms around him. "You ok?"
Jamie smiled, brushing damp hair out of his eyes. "Soon as Florida starts using Deep Woods Hurricane Off, I will be. Or they should put the whole state on stilts--being as close to sea level as they are is just tempting fate."
Kitty pressed a kiss to Jamie's forehead, breathing in his shampoo. "You may be onto something. We'll have to look into it. In the meantime, can I help? You did wonderfully last time..."
"Thank Paige. She talked me down when it got bad. And you help just being here." Jamie angled up for a better kiss. "See how shivery I'm not?"
"That is definitely something to thank Paige for..." Kitty kissed Jamie properly, sliding down to curl up in his lap. "And yes, definitely not shivery."
"I _wasn't,_ anyway," Jamie murmured, adjusting the neck of his bathrobe slightly, ears going red. "You and your surprising me when I'm sans pants."
Kitty grinned, wrapping her arms more tightly around him. "Hardly a surprise. I gave you a whole minutes warning..."
"More like thirty seconds," Jamie said, grinning back. "And I didn't say I minded, did I? This is a good shivery."
"Excellent. Glad there's to be no dissent." Kitty kissed him again, deeply/.
Jamie hmmed happily, one hand going up to twine in her hair. If she wasn't going to be bothered by his lack of pants, neither was he, he decided.
Kitty definitely had no problem with the lack of pants. She slid a hand inside Jamie's bathrobe, running her thumb along his collarbone.
Jamie's other hand explored Kitty's back, and he noted happily that for once she didn't seem to have any gigantic knots of tension. "You're getting very touchy-feely lately," he observed when they finally had to break for oxygen. "I like it."
Kitty smiled, leaning her forehead against his. "I just... I really missed you. Being here... with you just feels right."
"It feels all sorts of things including right. I'm just noticing the trend and saying yay, here." Jamie paused. "And if there's anything, you know, you want me to do more of, or . . . " He smiled self-consciously. "Kinda making this up as I go, here. I could try to whip up one of those customer satisfaction surveys . . .?"
Kitty curled closer to him. "I think you're doing pretty good, personally. Definitely no need for a survey." She sighed slightly. "Doug's not going to be happy if he walks in here now, is he?" she asked, although she made no move to pull away.
Jamie snorted. "Doug has no room to complain. 'Sides, I've got a dupe posted on the door just in case. And what, no suggestions at all?"
"Oooh. You're good..." Kitty purred. "And I think the only suggestion I have right now is 'kiss me again'."
"Yes, ma'am."
