Private Email to Betsy Braddock
Aug. 12th, 2003 08:59 pmBetsy,
I am so sorry that my excursion has taken nearly three times as long as originally intended. Things are ... well, that old Chinese curse comes to mind. Interesting times, indeed. Pete should be showing up soon, you can ask him for more details. As I said to Ali, I trust the school's systems, but I don't trust my own connection when it comes to security.
There are other things we should speak about when I return. Ororo mentioned something and caught me off-guard. I was quite lucky to be merely reading an email, not talking to her in person.
Did you have the chance to talk to Kitty? I don't know when I'll be able to check my email again, so there's no need to reply. I hope it went well.
I hope to be back soon. Until then, take care of yourself, and our students. And do try to get Charles out of the basement? At least once. Tell him it's for me.
Scott

Date: 2003-08-13 07:36 pm (UTC)There's no need to apologize. All is well with your courses, I've taken to assigning reading for your students, according to your syllabus. Though I have an idea regarding your Energy Control students, they've been ignored due to my lack of expertise. But whether I have the time to incorporate my plans before you return is another matter altogether.
Things we need to discuss? Really? Well, if this has to do with whatever Ororo said then I don't know what to think about that. But maybe I shouldn't think too much of it knowing her sense of humor.
So you know, I did have a chance to talk to Kitty and I'd rather wait to tell you about our conversation when you return.
About your concerns for the school, have none. We are well and safe. So, no need to worry about the students, they're all in good hands. And as for Charles, I check in on him from time to time, making sure he eats and gets some well-needed sleep. But besides the fact that he's been oddly preoccupied lately, alittle more than usual I'd say, he's fine as well.
I apologize for the length of this email, I know there is the possibility that you may not read this before you return, but I'm sending it regardless.
Have a safe journey and a speedy return home.
Betsy
