Tuesday@~12am. Yeah, it's out of sequence. Oh well. Sarah and Marie get along. Is that #3?

Em pulls her jacket off and hangs it up on the back of the dormitory room door. "Home sweet home," she says. "Grab a bed." There are three vacant but made beds in the room, one over near the window opposite the bed obviously in use and two closer to the door. "Not much of a tour to give. Bathroom's over there." She points to it. "Our job to keep it clean."

Sarah nods, looking around the room and sits tentatively on the bed by the window. She takes a glance outside, and turns away quickly. "Uh, maybe that's not such a good idea." She looks back at Rogue, and pulls another bone from her arm. "Sorry."

Em frowns at her. "Sorry? Oh. For that? Nah. You want somewhere to put them? Hang on." She grabs the basket from under her desk. "Does it hurt?" She puts the basket down near the bed.

Sarah shrugs and tosses the bone into the basket. "It used to, but I'm used to it now. It sort of stings, but it goes away pretty quickly. They're more of a nuisance than anything." She rubs her shoulder, and motions to the tears in her shirt.

"I can tell. Here, you're about my size." She opens her closet. "It's all long sleeves and long pants, I'm afraid," she says. "But you can take your pick. There's nightgowns and pyjamas too. Help yourself." It's mostly dark colour clothing in various weights, and the inside of the door is hung with a variety of gloves. "I'll grab you some towels so you can have a shower. Be right back." She slips out of the room.

Sarah gets up and walks to Em's closet. She browses through the clothes, but hates having to take clothes from other people. She hates destroying other peoples things, and even though they say they don't mind, she hates feeling like someone's charity case.

Em is back a moment later with some towels and washcloth and toothbrush, still in the package. "There." She notices the lack of progress at finding something for Sarah to wear. "How about I pick something out for you?" she suggests, holding out the things in her hands.

Sarah takes the towels and other items from Em, and shakes her head apologetically. "It's not that I'm not grateful or anything... I just hate doing this. I feel like such a fucking charity case."

"I totally hear you. I felt that way at first. Then they put me to work." Em pulls out a set of black cotton pyjamas and holds them out. "Here. These make me look like a fucking ninja. I don't know what I was thinking." She gives Sarah a grin. "That better?"

Sarah laughs. "Oh great. Now /I/ get to look like the ninja." She takes the pyjamas, tossing them on top of the pile of things on her bed. "Thanks."

Em flings herself onto her bed, kicking off her boots. "You should know if you're going to be living with me, don't ever touch my skin, okay? It would suck for everyone." She tucks her arms behind her head, looking unconcerned. "Just... I don't have the warning label tattooed on yet, y'know."

"Why?" Sarah asks, sitting on the edge of the bed, "What happens?"

"Depends. You're a mutant, I take your powers and your life. Not right off. It takes a minute or so. And once I have them, I can use them until the effect wears off. I take what you know too. Who you are at the time, I keep that." She sighs and stares at the ceiling. "You're just human, it's only your life and your -- self, I guess you'd call it -- that I take. Not that you don't get it back, if you don't die. It just sucks for everyone, like I said."

"Wow. And you found this out... by experience?" Sarah can feel another bone breaking through her skin, and she grabs it without a second thought. She tosses it in to the basket, and turns her attention back to Em.

Em nods. "Yeah." She keeps her eyes on the ceiling. "My first kiss. Nearly killed the guy. After that, it was always that way." Her voice is even and practical.

"Damn. That sucks. There's no way around it?" Sarah asks. "I mean, you'll never be able to control it?"

She shakes her head, sitting up. "No, not that we can tell." She holds out her gloved hands. "As long as it's not skin on skin, I'm okay. Doesn't mean that people like to get too close, though. I don't blame them."

Sarah shrugs. "Well, as long as you don't mind the whole bones thing, I'll be okay with living in close quarters." She smiles, and grabs her towels. "I've lived around mutants for quite a while. Nothing phases me anymore. Besides, you can't have to room all to yourself."

Em grins. "I'm really glad for the company. I get lonely easy, to be honest. Kinda stuck between the grownups and the kids. And, no, the bones thing doesn't bug me at all. Do you snore?"

"No, not that I know of. One of my foster siblings used to swear up and down that I snored so loud I could wake her up across the house, but seeing as she didn't like me all that much, I have my doubts." Sarah gathers the rest of her things and moves towards the bathroom. "If I do, feel free to throw things at me and tell me to shut the hell up. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I hear the shower calling me."

"Sure. Enjoy." She turns over on her belly and grabs a book from the bedside table. "See you in a bit."
