He finds her waiting outside Doug's medlab room, and persuades her to go to church with him instead.

Marie-Ange paced outside the infirmary impatiently. When was someone going to let her get her hands on Doug? Even just seeing him, even if she couldn't say anything, would be better than this. It would definitly be better than the alternating bouts of rage and abject sorrow she was feeling, not sure if she wanted to scream at her idiot boyfriend or just curl in a ball and sob.

She was still there when Kurt happened to come down, however long later, to do anything the doctors might ask him to to help, or perhaps just to pray. Seeing Marie-Ange and noticing her not-unexpectedly agitated state, he slowed down and approached her carefully.

At the flicker of blue tail out of the corner of her eye, Marie-Ange stopped her incessant pacing and leaned against the wall. "I suppose you are going to come yell at Doug too, before I can?" She said, just a touch angrily. "Everyone else has.."

Kurt shook his head calmly. "It seems to me that would be a little counterproductive. As you say, there are many people who will be telling Doug in no uncertain terms how foolish his actions were."

Marie-Ange gritted her teeth. "And they are all making -me- wait." She was... in short, not a happy young lady at the moment. Leaning against the wall, she sighed loudly and then gestured. "I do not suppose you can get me in there?"

"I do not think that would be a good idea", he answered carefully. "If they are keeping you of all people out, it will be for a reason." He hesitated, before continuing, "I do not think it is doing you very much good to be waiting here, either. Perhaps you could get a promise from them of when they will let you in, and return then?"

Marie-Ange hesitated before answering. "They said Doug can have visitors. Mr. Summers has seen him, and I think Nathan, but whenever I go to see him, someone is there, and ..." She shook her head slowly. "I do not want to interrupt anyone else, and I do not want anyone there when I tell Doug he is an idiot."

He nodded and offered another suggestion. "Then perhaps if you arrange a time with the medical staff when you and only you will be allowed in to see him, might that do?"

"I probably should... " Marie-Ange said tiredly. "I .. just..." she gestured vaguely.. "I do not even know if I want to see him, or what I want to say."

He looked at her sympathetically. "A little distance might be best for now, then. Until you are able to work it out in your head."

Marie-Ange frowned. She'd heard bits and pieces of rumors that Kurt had kidnapped Mr. Summers once - and at the time, it was actually fairly funny, until demons invaded. But it wasn't -nearly- as funny now that she was looking the possiblity in the mouth. "I suppose that is a hint that I should expect to be teleported?" she asked dryly.

Kurt looked at her with a faint smile. "I would only do that without your permission if I felt it was strictly necessary. But I do think you could stand to leave here for a few hours. Will you go to church with me this morning?"

Church. If there was ever a time to return, now would be it... Marie-Ange nodded sadly. "I ... " She sighed and crumpled. "I have not been ... since... May. Since... Skippy."

Kurt frowned, concerned, reaching out to steady her. "It is never too late to start going again, if you want to. I can take you somewhere else if you wish."

"Non. No.. I think.. " Marie-Ange swallowed at the lump in her throat. "I think it is time to start again." Even as angry as she was with him, Doug hadn't died, and whether or not it was from his actions, or the X-men, or something she saw, she wasn't entirely sure - but it was in some small way, she decided, miraculous.

Kurt nodded quietly. "We can go as soon as you like."

"Now?" Marie-Ange asked tentatively. If she went now, maybe she could calm down and gain some peace before her frustration levels caused her to do more than pace and mutter at people.

"Certainly."
