Moira's putting the finishing touches on the labs when Alison wanders in. Who is then aghast, aghast I tell you!, to find out that Moira is not planning on wearing a costume for the night's fun and games. Moira's doomed, completely.
Moira balanced carefully on a chair, thankfully the one without wheels, as she finished decorating the room. Between herself and Maddie, who was off checking on something, they had managed to decorate the place quite well. It was certainly in the spirit of the holiday and it was festive without being spooky. Which they certainly could have gone with if they had wanted to.
"Nice." Standing in the doorway Alison blinked as she looked around the room - it hadn't been this far advanced when she'd' come much earlier in the morning (sans Haroun) for to deliver breakfast to Madelyn. "What costume are you going to be wearing?" she asked, noting the candy bowl already set up for the smaller cohorts of visitors which would likely swoop by in the early evening.
She blinked at Alison over her shoulder. "Um...I'm nay?" she offered weakly, putting the last of the spider webs up in the corner before climbing down. "Week was ta 'ectic ta even think 'bout a costume."
Blink. "You are kidding me right?" She'd visited Mick already today and a very quick peek at the door showed a little panel saying 'let me sleep or Madelyn will do bad things to you' on it - which meant she could concentrate entirely on Moira.
Oh no. She knew exactly what that look on Alison's face meant. Normally, trouble. Mostly amusing trouble, but still...trouble. Moira had the grace to look sheepish. "Never really been one ta celebrate before, so...nay costume?" Maybe she could get away with it.
A raised eye and a very skeptical look greeted those words. "You're going to have all the mansion's kids down here asking for candy and celebrating Halloween - and no costume to greet them properly with?"
"They're terrified o' th' MedLab as it 'tis?"
"Ha! Nice try, Miss 'I have Glow in the Dark Band-aids' and all the kids in the mansion love them." With a snort of amusement, Alison walked into the medlab, grinning as she took in the decorations. "No, this set-up really deserves the works, don't you think?"
It wasn't a pout, she decided, as she watched Alison. "...maybe. But 'tis nay like I 'ave much time ta put together somethin'." Aha, there was her light in the dark. Lack of time to put together a costume.
Alison looked around the medlab. And grinned. "You, m'dear, are in the perfect location to whip up the best costume in the world. Surgical glue. Scissors. Tons of fabric." Hrm. Synthsilk! "Really. I think two creative women like us can come up with something or other, don't you?"
"I'm nay gettin' out o' this one, am I?"
Sauntering closer, Alison gave her a mock-sympathetic look. "Doomed."
