Sep. 17th, 2003 04:48 pmThought I'd drop you a line to see how you were doing and tell you I was thinking about you. :) Wish you were here, Scotland is really beautiful and Dr. MacTaggart has some really nifty computer stuff. I'll have lots of pictures for you later, but right now I only have one:

This is what I'm going to be smuggling through customs for you if I hear you aren't eating regularly. And I'll probably be arrested for trying to bring biological weapons onto U.S. soil, and I'll go to jail, and it'll be a whole huge mess, and you don't want me to go to jail on suspicion of terrorism, do you? And please don't hide so well Ms. Blaire can't find you, she's worried too and she can actually go check on you. And the big yellow ball of light in the sky is your friend, remember.
Wish I were back there, or you were over here. Miss you.

Date: 2003-09-18 03:36 am (UTC)I wish I could have come, but things here are keeping me busy. I ended up at this symposium yesterday (Dr. Essex took me) and it was really interesting. All sorts of things which would probably bore you if I went on about them, so I'll save you the bother and just tell you that I miss you, a lot.
I'm glad to hear that you're doing well in Scotland. You know, over there it's acceptable for men to wear skirts... Well, kilts, but still.
I ought to go. Since I can't give you a proper hug or kiss I shall just have to be quite silly and girlish and sign my note:
xoxoxo

Date: 2003-09-18 04:40 am (UTC)And I don't think you could ever bore me, but the symposium might, I read a couple of Dr. Essex's papers when my mom and dad were doing mutant research to figure out how to help me, and they were pretty dry. Smart, but dry. Doesn't much think about the layman audience, that guy.
Rahne says the only people allowed to wear kilts are the ones actually related to the Scottish clans, and I'm afraid my ancestors lived a couple hundred miles too far south for that. So, darn the luck, I guess I don't get to. :)
Can I consider that signoff an IOU? I'll bring you actual European chocolate . . .
