Alex and Shiro catch each other on AIM one night. They banter back and forth, doing the teasing thing they normally do, and Alex comes up with a dastardly plan. One which Shiro will probably never forgive him for.
taiyoo no hi: Look who’s on line. Are you a frozen Summers yet?
Kauwela Nalu: Unfortunately yes, but Grandmother has the greatest cure for when I spend too much time outside. Apple Cider. Greatest thing ever dude! How’s Scotland?
taiyoo no hi: Cold, dark, and gloomy. It would be worthwhile if there was at least some snow. But it’s just depressing here.
Kauwela Nalu: Dude. It’s eternal dark here. No. Sun. I think I’m going through light withdrawal. Though the Northern Lights are beautiful. But still, total and utter withdrawal.
taiyoo no hi: Alaska is the antithesis of Hawaii. I’m surprised you have survived this long as it is. Congratulations, you deserve a prize.
Kauwela Nalu: Ha. Ha. Very funny. See, you can make a joke. But still, grandparents! Dude! Despite the no sun and stuff, it’s so worth it!
taiyoo no hi: I was being serious. I’ll buy you a little stuffed Nessie. Leyu-chan got one, too. And I will pick one up for your grandparents, too. Just a little Christmas gift for taking care of my sun-deprived surfer.
Kauwela Nalu: Ahh how sweet. I didn’t know you cared so much…*lol* I’m kidding. It’s what grandparents do silly. But if you do, just don’t let Leyu make it pink or something.
taiyoo no hi: Would the color matter? You would keep it by your bed all the time anyway to keep my sister happy. And I’ve never met my grandparents, so I’ll take your word for it. Are they spoiling you rotten?
Kauwela Nalu: Of course. Isn’t that what grandparents are for? Especially ones that didn’t even know we were alive. Even high and mighty Scott let himself be spoiled. It was a sight to see. And see if you can convince her to make it green, I like green and she should be able to figure out why.
taiyoo no hi: That’s amazing, Alex. It’s karma, ne? I’m really happy to hear that you two are enjoying yourselves. As for the plushie, I think I’ll look for something different. There’s already too much green in that damned mansion.
Kauwela Nalu: I like green thank you very much, And fate, karma, whatever. I like it. It’s about time something good came our way.
taiyoo no hi: You would. And good news is bound to happen once every so often. Next thing you know, our peers will stop (gasp) angsting.
Kauwela Nalu: Oh please. That would take more then a miracle, more like heavenly intervention.
taiyoo no hi: If we have demon invasions, karma owes us some visiting gods. Maybe the Norns will pay me a visit.
Kauwela Nalu: And that would earn you a big "you wish!" from the gods. dude, you need a real girl.
taiyoo no hi:: Hey, I served them well. And I never got a severance package. They owe me. And no, I don't.
Kauwela Nalu: Dude, yes you do. you can't keep fantasizing over people who aren't real. You need a real, flesh and blood, girl.
taiyoo no hi: I am not fantasizing about anyone. And besides, the Norns are real. Just not in this plane of existence.
Kauwela Nalu: whatever. Try living on this plane for a while. You need *something*
taiyoo no hi: Why? And even if you're right, there's no one at school whom I'm the least bit interested in, much less who is interested in me.
Kauwela Nalu: oh really? you want to make a bet on that?
taiyoo no hi: On which part? That I am interested in someone, or the opposite?
Kauwela Nalu: either
taiyoo no hi: Whom do you think I like?
Kauwela Nalu: no no no, I need to do some investigating first. Not fair asking me when we're both miles away from the mansion. PLus I need proof in case you decide to deny it
taiyoo no hi: There is nothing to deny, Alex. The one person for whom I had feelings (emphasis on the past tense) is an adult and does not return my affections. There is nobody else.
Kauwela Nalu: We'll see about that, my dear friend. We shall see...
taiyoo no hi: If Ayumi Hamasaki or Chiaki Kuriyama somehow end up at Xavier's, then we'll talk
Kauwela Nalu: I'll pretend to know who the hell your talking about. And like I said, we shall see. Don't worry your little head about it right now
taiyoo no hi: Fuck. You are Lorna are going to start a conspiracy against me now, aren't you? I can read that look, even if you're on another continent.
Kauwela Nalu: Who me? Why Shiro I'm insulted. Would your best friend do that to you?
taiyoo no hi: Yes
Kauwela Nalu: Now I'm hurt. Really. No I'm not kidding. Much
taiyoo no hi: Alison and I did much the same to you and Lorna last summer. I know you're just dying for the chance to get back at me.
Kauwela Nalu: Who said this was anything about revenge? Maybe I just wanna help my best buddy
taiyoo no hi: Your help is appreciated, my friend, but not quite desired. And it's not like I'd have any idea what do actually do in the unlikely event you found someone.
Kauwela Nalu: Dude, I can so help you there!
taiyoo no hi: Yeah, let's not talk about that, please.
Kauwela Nalu: Fine. Whatever. But your not going to hear the end of this.
taiyoo no hi:: I'm sure I'm not
Kauwela Nalu: Good, glad you admit it. Now, I think grandma is calling me to dinner so I have to go. talk to you later, ole buddy ole pal
taiyoo no hi: Have a good remainder of your holiday, Alex.
Kauwela Nalu: You too, Shiro. you too.
