I am not trying to be a bother, but I am worried about Jamie. He missed both of the unoffical powers classes this week and I could not find him to ask where he was. I think he was in his room, but the door was closed.
He hasn't been in the game room at all and Artie and 'Yana say that he hasn't read or played with them at all this week.
I am a little worried about him. This is not like him.

Thanks for letting us know, lass. I'll hunt him down and see what I can do.
Mr. Wagner, I know you were looking for some R&R, I wonder if some time in the sun with some good conversation would help out Jamie.

Actually Moira, if it's all the same to you, I've got that covered. What with being student counselor and all, seems like a good idea for me to approach him on this, mmm? I've been meaning to anyway, since I'd noticed the quality of his work going down in my classes.
I'll make sure to call for backup if needed.

Date: 2003-09-27 12:34 pm (UTC)My apologies, I didn't mean to step on any toes. Working with this many...people is unusual for me, and in my old age I tend to get a bit...
Oh bloody hell, full of myself. *chuckles* Seriously, though, my apologies. It's going to take me some time to get used to working with more than one person (Rory and I run our Research Facility by ourselves, with the exception of a few on-call doctor's and mainland teacher's) and I need to remember that I'm just here on a teaching visit.
However, I -do- have a stack of books that I found right bloody helpful. Not only when I was studying for the PhD in it, but also when dealing with my own kids back on Muir. I'm not sure if you're interested, but feel free to utilize them. If nothing else, they are an interesting read.

Date: 2003-09-27 05:51 pm (UTC)It's all good. This young whippersnapper will try to keep that in mind and not be too snippy from now on, for her part. ;)
About the books. I'm more than interested in borrowing them - in fact, I was also looking at some of the psych/counseling university courses in town, and if you'd have any recs... well I wouldn't mind bringing the course descriptions at the lab and cornering you for a moment or two. Or three.

Date: 2003-09-28 02:54 pm (UTC)And I'm more than willing to teach. ;) I'm still getting some of the start of the legal problems settled, but feel free to stop by tomorrow and corner me in the lab.
As for the snippy...well, considering I did overstep my bounds and everything that's been going on with the hurricane, Jamie, Betsy...it's more than understandable.
