Jan. 28th, 2005 10:51 amAbout 3am Dani knocks on the boys room (Forge, Kyle & Jay) because she can't sleep and doesn't feel good.
Forge blinked. Who in the world would be knocking on his door at 3am? There it was again, in the brief spaces between Kyle's deep snores. Yawning, Forge kicked the blankets away from his legs and padded over
to the door in his boxers. Whoever it was, if they weren't going to do the courtesy of knocking at a reasonable hour, he wasn't going to bother with pants.
Dani stood in the doorway, hair in disarray, wearing only her pajamas and socks, clutching her blanket. She looked a mess. "I threw up and my back hurts and I was asleep but I can't sleep anymore and I'm hungry but I don't want to throw up again," she babbled, coming into the living room and sitting on the couch forlornly.
Forge instinctively grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch, sitting down to wrap it around Dani's shoulders. "Kyle's asleep," he said, nodding his head at the door to their room. "You want me to get you some water or something?"
Nodding, she curled up at one end of the couch, expectantly. "I had Catseye, but she left," she informed him, explaining why she couldn't sleep now. Accepting the water, she snuggled into the blankets, closing her eyes, "Kyle is dreaming of chasing squirels."
"You can tell?" Forge asked with a smile. He chuckled and patted Dani on the back. "I'll make sure to remind him of that."
"Mmhmm," she nodded, happy over Kyle's dream. Relaxing. "Your couch is comfy. Night."
Forge blinked incredulously. "But the- you- this is... oh, screw it." He simply reached over, tucked the blanket around Dani's shoulders, and shuffled off to his bed. He could explain it to Kyle in the morning.
