Hey. :) Just had a thought, figured I'd get it down in case I don't run into you for a while . . .

I was thinking about the situation with your parents, and I was wondering if you thought it would do any good if I e-mailed them about having noticed how much they were fighting, and maybe since I only met them once and not for very long they'd think, hey, if it's that obvious we should do something about it. And I can truthfully say that my stake in the whole thing is I don't want you to be unhappy--which might get them thinking, hey, this is making you unhappy, so that's another thing that might get them thinking about doing something about it. I'd be polite and nonconfrontational and only looking out for your best interests, no matter how many drafts I needed to get there.

And it may not do any good, but I want to do something to help. But if you think it isn't a good idea, or won't help, or you don't want to deal with this stuff right now, or whatever--and before I sent anything I'd run it by you first to see what you thought--then that's fine, you just let me know what you want to do. I'm following your lead.

I mean, for one thing, it's a great view from back here. ;)

I don't know how I feel about it. Mostly I think I'm trying not to.

And I don't think you could be annoying. At least, not when you're being sweet to me. I do appreciate that you're looking out for me. At least one of us ought to be, I guess.

Well, that's a heck of a coincidence, I love you too.

I'm in the physics lab. Had an idea. I can think of all sorts of things more fun than juicing up the springs in the toaster, though.
