Late Night, Lorna's suite
Nov. 1st, 2004 02:40 amAlex and Lorna wash out their hair-dye. What a shock, it’s of the cute. (set right after this comment)
Lorna snuck up behind Alex (easy enough to do when he couldn’t hear her moving) and reached over his shoulders to type. Superboy is going away from the keyboard now. You two can play Young Justice later. Mwhahahaha. –Ivy She changed the username quickly and sent it off in place of the reply Alex had been preparing. Then she opened a Word document and typed another message just for Alex. You need to wash that out of your hair or it’ll stain. She bent and kissed his cheek, grinning at him.
Alex leaned back, looking straight up so he could kiss her more properly. "Yes please...As much as I like being a superhero...I want to be a blonde surfer again." He wrinkled his nose, still marveling at the fact he couldn't hear what he himself was saying. This was actually kind of cool!
She wrinkled her nose as well. His voice was a little flat, as often happened with the deaf. She tugged him out of the chair and led him toward the bathroom. She snatched a pen off the desk as they went and started writing on her hand. It won’t all come out at once but you should wash it two or three times right now.
After looking at the message on her hand, Alex nodded. He'd shed the leather jacket a while ago and instead was wearing one of his hooded sweat shirts over the spandex. He removed the sweatshirt and top half of his suit in one go. "Sink or shower?"
She grinned appreciatively, letting her gaze wander idly over his chest while she considered then raised her hand above her head like a shower head, “Shower.” She wrapped her arms around his waist and tilted her head back for a kiss.
Alex knew right then that charades were going to get real old real fast but at the moment they were amusing. He gladly kissed her before asking, "Are you going to join me to make sure I don't try to escape?" Yes he was still in superhero mood, but it was more because Lorna did look really *hot* as a villainess.
Lorna laughed and nodded. She tugged on his hand this time and wrote down the inside of his arm. Of course. Have to keep an eye on my Superboy. She walked them into the bathroom and shut the door behind them, locking it with a wave of her hand. She spared a brief thought to whether or not this was a violation of Alison’s rule then decided she didn’t care.
He gave her sly wink after she finished writing and was gladly led into the bathroom. Alex of course didn't even spare a thought to Alison, thinking she was most likely 'busy' herself with a certain Arab. Instead, he turned to Lorna with a slight frown. "You my dear are a bit over dressed..."
Lorna looked in the mirror and made a show of examining her reflection. Finally she nodded then turned back to Alex. “Help me with that problem?” she asked, making sure she formed the words clearly. She tugged off one of her wrist guards then extended the other hand to him, her smile teasing.
As Lorna turned, he couldn't suppress a whistle. Alex nodded to show he understood what she had said, then gladly began to help remove the bits and pieces of her costume, smirking when he pretended defiance of her wishes.
There wasn’t much to the costume anyway. Once the wrist guards and boots were gone, Lorna just needed Alex to unzip the leaf covered bustier. She pointed Alex to the shower while she finished shedding her costume, rolling the green tights off her legs.
"Yes ma'am." Alex quickly shed the blue spandex remaining covering his legs (boots had been lost somewhere between his room and hers) and hopped in, fiddling with the knobs to get the temperature right as he waited for her to join him.
Steam quickly filled the bathroom, making Lorna’s hair stick to her face. She stepped into the shower behind Alex, trailing a hand across his shoulder so he would know she was there then pointing to the shampoo and holding out her hand for it.
Gladly, Alex reached for the bottle and handed it to her over his shoulder, twisting his head to snatch a quick kiss as he did so. Her touch was comforting and leaned back into it.
She kissed him back then went about lathering up his hair. The white lather quickly turned grey, then black. She hummed while she worked her fingers through his hair, not really worrying about the fact that her voice was dismal since Alex couldn’t hear her anyway. She tapped his shoulder when she wanted him to rinse the shampoo out.
Alright, Alex had to admit, he loved his hair. The only thing he loved more in that department was Lorna running her fingers through his hair. This...this was heaven, He almost didn't feel her tap but quickly moved to follow her silent command, if only because Alex knew she was going to do it again.
There were already streaks of blond showing through though the water running down the drain was still inky black. Patiently, Lorna lathered, rinsed and repeated until the water ran clear. Alex’s hair was still mostly black, though it had begun to edge toward a sort of greenish-grey. Tapping his other shoulder this time, she pressed a kiss to the back of his neck. “I’m done,” she mouthed when he looked at her.
Giving her a playful frown, Alex turned all the way around and fingered some of her own dyed locks. "Yours is the more permanent stuff right?" He asked despite already being disappointed at the answer. As hot as Lorna looked as a red head, Alex wanted her green hair back.
She nodded and wrote in the steam on the shower door, Lasts. Temp dyes don’t. She ducked around him and under the spray then pointed to show him that the red dye was already washing out, the water swirling down the drain now pale pink. “Mutant,” she said with a shrug.
"Beautiful Mutant..." Alex said softly before taking the shampoo bottle from her and returning the favor, making sure to message her scalp as best he could.
It made her blush which she thought was silly. Compliments like that from Alex should have lost their impact considering how often she heard them. But it never did. There was always that little twist of pleasure and surprise when he said she was beautiful. She closed her eyes, focusing on the feeling of his hands.
Alex spent a long time on her hair, though most of it was spent as a massage. Finally he bent down slightly to kiss the back of her neck. "Rinse love."
She did and, knowing her powers did more to strip the dye than anything, amused herself by setting a tangle of bobby pins in one of the drawers into neat rows. Doing it by feel alone was an interesting exercise and she decided to try it more often. Once the shampoo was completely out of her hair, she turned back to Alex and claimed a kiss. “I love you.”
A kiss Alex was quite happy to return as he reached around and turned off the shower head. "and I love you," he had his hand on the door before he added, "even if you are evil." Yes he was still hyper from sugar and quickly ducked out of the stall with a smirk on his face.
It wasn’t as though he could go anywhere, given that she’d locked the door when they came in. Lorna wrapped herself and her hair in towels before stalking after him in her best super villainess style. She dried off his torso then wrote in careful script with her retrieved pen I’m not evil. I’m just drawn that way. She blew the ink dry and smirked at him.
Alex couldn't suppress the giggle that escaped him as he read it upside down while wrapping a towel around his waist. "And didn't I already mention I love you that way?" Now it was his turn to claim a kiss...and steal the pesky pen while he was at it.
“You said even if,” she mouthed back at him and pouted at the loss of her pen. She unlocked the door and checked to be sure Alison hadn’t returned unexpectedly. With no sign of her roommate, she wrapped her arms around Alex’s waist and batted her eyelashes at him. “My pen?”
"It tickles." He added matter-of-factly with a small pout before handing it over with a dramatic sigh.
“Should have thought of that before you went deaf,” she replied, spinning the pen between her fingers. She gathered up the discarded costumes and gestured the way back to her bedroom.
That made Alex roll his eyes. "Couldn't be helped...we had to do something and Terry is more powerful then me." He had retrieved his sweat shirt and pulled it on over the towel as he waited for Lorna to join him on the bed, where he was sitting,
Lorna dumped the costumes in the hamper and swapped her towels out for her robe before wandering back over. She uncapped the pen again and wrote on a notepad she’d grabbed off the floor. Was worried about you.
Alex sighed and nuzzled her cheek as she sat beside him. "I'm sorry...But we had to do something to distract the thing so the kids could get out. And I'm here, little worse for wear, but here..." He put his arms around Lorna's waist and rested his chin on her shoulder to prove his point.
She cuddled against him automatically but kept writing. Proud of you too. Never do it again. She underlined ‘never’ twice. My job. Not yours. She whimpered and let go of the notepad and pen so she could hug him, burying her face in his neck.
He sighed gently as he held her, rocking her gently, again reminded of why he did not want to be an X-man. "I know sweetie I know...you go off and be the hero, it's not for me." Alex had to bite his lip to resist adding, 'Now you know how I feel whenever you go off on a mission...'
She hissed and drew back so he could see her face, “That’s not it. I’m trained. You’re not.” She didn’t loosen her grip at all. It was a little unfair of her to be chiding him for doing what she’d have done in a heartbeat but after all, it was what she was trained for.
He frowned as he hadn't made out everything she had said but Alex had caught the word trained and sighed. "I know I'm not trained, it was hard enough getting it to work at all tonight! That's why I had to get Terry to do something, even if meant me loosing my hearing for a bit..." He closed his eyes and dropped his head to his chest in a defeated posture. "I know I was wrong to try tonight...and I'm sorry for worrying you."
“Terry’s not trained either,” Lorna muttered not bothering to enunciate since he wasn’t looking. She sighed and brushed her hand over his cheek, leaning in to press her lips to his so he could feel them move even if he couldn’t hear, “I love you.” She kissed him softly.
