Lorna gets home from her voyages overseas and finds someone in her bed. A very welcome, warm, blonde someone.

Lorna stumbled into her room without turning on the light and tried to figure out what time it was. According to her watch it was 6 am but Prague was a long plane ride behind her. The red numbers on Mr. Coffee claimed it was barely midnight. Her bags hit the floor with a muffled thud, followed by her jacket. Immediately she shivered. Why must it always be so cold? And her boyfriend was probably curled up in his old room which meant that her bed would be cold and empty and huge and she’d be all by herself. Lorna pouted just thinking about it.

She wandered into the bathroom and took a quick shower, noticing that the water was brown with rapidly vanishing hair dye. Good old Autumn Fawn. Shutting off the water, she stepped out and wrapped a towel around herself, wondering where she’d left her robe. Probably in the bedroom where it did her no good at all. Grumbling and still pouting, she reluctantly trudged into the bedroom, still not bothering with the lights.

She picked pajamas by feel and changed into them the same way. She figured she had about a one in ten shot at getting something that matched. Still, it wasn’t like anyone was going to see and at least they were comfortable. Yawning, she tugged at the covers. When they didn’t budge it was her first clue that she was not, as she’d assumed, alone. Alex had the covers bundled up and tucked around him, practically cocooned She grinned, still yawning and tugged at the covers some more but Alex didn’t budge.

Now this just wasn’t fair. Lorna pouted again and crawled up on the bed, still tugging at the covers. She didn’t want to wake Alex unless she absolute had to but damn it, it was cold!

“Alex,” she whined finally, pulled the blankets away from his head and patting his cheek. “It’s my bed!”

He had been dreaming that Lorna was curled up next to him instead of being alone in the bed, thus why the blankets were in a tangle around him. Groaning at the contact, Alex wrinkled his nose and fluttered his eyes open. Groggily, he made out Lorna above him and frankly, he wasn't sure if he was still dreaming or not. "Lorna? Are you real?"

Lorna whimpered. “Yes and I’m cold and I’ve been up for twenty four hours and I want to sleep and you’re hogging all the blankets.” She tugged at the covers, trying to get him to relinquish them. She was a bit too cranky to properly greet him.

At the realization that yes indeed it was 'his' Lorna, he immediately woke up enough to untangle himself enough to lift the blankets so she could join him under the covers.

She did with some alacrity and promptly curled around him stealing body heat like a pro. She tucked her head on his shoulder. “I missed you,” she muttered into his neck, voice mostly muffled.

Alex didn't need to hear what she said because he was thinking the same. He hugged her close to help warm her up, tucking her head under his chin after kissing the top of her head. "I missed you too. Did you have fun?"

“Not especially. Wanted you to be there.” She yawned and tilted her head back to kiss the underside of his jaw. “Paris is pretty though.”

"Maybe one day you can show me..." he trailed off with a yawn as he wasn't completely awake yet. Nuzzling her nose, Alex closed his eyes again. "We can talk in the morning. Sleep now. Glad your home."

“Glad to be home. I love you.” She was asleep almost before she finished her sentence.
