Look, I just wanted to say, I really was serious when I apologized for losing my temper. And if Angelo's cool with you, far as I'm concerned the whole thing never happened. Guess it's just a sensitive kind of subject for both of us, huh?

And speaking of those . . . the other thing you were talking about? Not gonna mention it to anybody, even if I kinda think you probably should. But hey, your problem to deal with in your own time.

One thing, though? Probably the main reason I was still mad today was . . . look, it took me two world-class shrinks, Kitty, and Ms. Blaire to get my nightmares manageable. Not gone. Just down to where I'm not waking up screaming every time I close my eyes for fifteen minutes, and I can usually kick off into a healthier dream before I wake up at all. So yeah, I've got no idea about how bad you've had it, agree with you there--but unless you've actually died, you have no clue how well you'd deal with that, and I didn't appreciate being told that my little slice of hell didn't rate.

So, yeah. Just thought you should know. Subject's closed, no hard feelings on my end, won't ever bring it up again unless you ask about it.

And I really am sorry. I think you're a great guy about 99% of the time--we just kinda came at the other 1% from opposite angles and tripped all over each other's hot buttons, I guess. Hope we can not do this again; I hate being mad at people I like.

See you around.

I was wondering if you could help us out with running a small errand to the mall to get something to cheer Angelo up? Maybe a few things, since we have to send Jubilee, and I have not yet seen her take less than four hours in the mall. I can replace any money that you need to fuel the car.

We have a plan, but Jamie still can't drive, I think.

Ramsey's lead was bang on. In the end, Braddock and I provided enough of a distraction for Emma to put a plan of her own into motion, so we're out of there. We're about to get the redeye back, and Emma's already making some poor bastard's life hell - I had three first class tickets, but Emma's picked up a couple of waifs and strays along the way, so we've got to get them on the same flight somehow.

On which note: we need to warn the staff to be careful with this pair - they're Shaw defectors, broadly (one of them is his son Shinobi, who apparently doesn't get on with Daddy) and the other was being manipulted into helping keep Emma docile, or something. Personally, I think it's a bit too fucking neat, and would rather leave them behind, but Emma's vouching for them. If we can contrive to keep them away from any of the sensitive stuff until we're got a better picture of their agendas, that's probably for the best. Hell, if we could bug whatever rooms they wind up in, that'd be even better, but I suspect that one'll go down like a lead balloon.

Anyway, we'll be back tomorrow, crew of freaks and bastards in tow.
