Nathan, Manuel, and Moira, Friday morning

Nathan goes to talk to Manuel about the end of their lessons together. There is comparatively little shouting, but quite a bit of tension. Nathan gives him one last test for old time's sake.

( Considering your state of unease, I have to conclude that you're dropping your little project to turn me into a worthwhile human being like a hot rock. )

Afterwards, Nathan goes to talk to Moira, who's happy to tell him he did the right thing but determined not to let him kick his own ass about it. They then make camping plans for Sunday. (Yes, again.)

( Unless you're on fire, have an emergency, are missing a limb, or are Nathan, go. Away. )

Shinobi, Nathan - Pooooooooooool.

Following this meeting with Manuel, Nathan drags Shinobi out for that game of pool they owe each other. They talk, Shinobi is very good and doesn't make eyes for an alcoholic beverage (though Nate does call him on a cigarette), and large amounts of cute ensue.

( I think supervillains take December off. )

Amanda, Manuel, Madelyn - Friday mid-morning.

The Quest for Cute continues. Around about the same time as this thread in Manuel's journal Amanda's withdrawal symptoms get too much for either of them to handle and Manuel takes her down to medlab. After an anti-nausea shot and flight from the Dreaded Medlab, they talk some more, and Manuel gives Amanda a most unexpected gift. And gets to watch her fall asleep again.

Angelo and Amanda; Angelo and Nathan

Angelo goes to see Amanda with the intention of fixing where he went wrong, and they make a start on it at least. Some time later, he's walking Joyita and finds a tipsy Nathan in the gazebo (after Nathan and Shinobi's pool night). He is highly amused.

( 'M still mad at you for not lettin' me decide things, but right now? I missed me mate. )

( So. Are you taking any of my classes this fall? )

Angelo and Shinobi

Angelo finds a pensive Shinobi out on the smoker's porch. They talk - a lot. About Jono, about themselves, and about Boston. The smoker's porch once again proves that it can get these two to stop bottling better than Doctor Samson can. Go figure.
