Madelyn stops by Scott's office with coffee - and peanut butter cups. She discovers there's been a little progress made overnight - Scott's no longer insisting that it can't be Jean - but he's still definitely not coping very well. He does however come with her to see Charles.

Alex & Shiro, Sunday morning

Set the morning after Alex spends the night comforting Scott, he goes to visit Shiro and apologize for his comment. Shiro accepts, but then they get into another disagreement, and generally act like a pair of teenage boys.

( Point of fact, I was not mocking Dr. Grey's return, I was mocking the student body, which I do on a regular basis. )

LOG: Father's Day in March

Time: From about 9am Sunday to that afternoon. Richard Forge comes to the mansion to check up on his son. Various meetings and conversations reveal more about the man than his son has let on, or even that the younger Forge believes.

After some searching, Wanda discovers Scott trying to find something to do in the garage. After talking to him, she manages to get him to laugh and they contemplate exactly what is in that tea Xavier serves.

( Apparently somewhere along the lines, the eldest Summers brother had developed what some of the teenagers in the mansion would call 'l33t ninja skillz'. )

Moira and Cain

Set some time after Jean and Terry catch up. Jay goes to visit and reintroduce himself to the crazy redhead. At first reluctant, Jay soon finds himself growing comfortable with Jean, and decides that she's a very cool person.

( Emo is that stuff that rich White suburban kids listen to about how life sucks and no one understands them and wah wah wah. It all sounds exactly the same. S'like there's one band who does all the music, but they release all their stuff under different names. )

After his father's visit, Forge retreats to the Greenhouse in the evening to try to think things over. Hank finds him there, and they talk a little. Hank makes him an offer which is enthusiastically accepted.

Manuel comes to Talk. Things get off to a rough start, but Manny doesn't back down and Paige has really bad neck tension. They eventually get along and Paige comes to a kind of realization about trust and expectations. In short, Cool Manuel strikes again, even if it takes some time getting there.

( I was pushed away in the past. And I suppose now I feel it is easier to keep my distance than to rely too solidly on people who might decide they are bored and toss me away in the future. Yes, that's what it is. Not pushed, exactly, tossed. Like an old toy. )
