The X-Men depart for Youra.

The Blackbird arrives at the staging area to meet up with the taskforce.

( Hey, Captain. We heard there was a party on and thought we'd join in. )

The Blackbird and the taskforce planes arrive in Galicia, where MacInnis, Morgan, Foley, and Anika are waiting for them. Final preparations are made, and a few members of the team enjoy a last moment of calm before the storm.

Elsewhere on Youra, the X-Men and their allies are more than holding their own. Then the 'Masada' trigger takes effect and they find the tables beginning to turn.

Nathan feels the trigger go off, and realizes what it means for the children in the training barracks. As he tries to get there, Kylun persists in his attempts to come in the back way, even as he and Forrester find themselves facing serious opposition. Sam escapes from the bunker and into the open air, only to face a mid-air dogfight. Scott and Konstantakis try to follow, while Alison and Nash run into trouble coming out of the generator room and Wanda finds herself cornered.

( The kids are targets, does anyone read me? )

( We won't make it to the stairs. )

( Choices, even now. )

( Going ballistic. )

( We do what we have to do. )

( It's insane out there! )

( Last woman standing. )

Thermopylae - Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight (part 7)

As they rescue Sam, Madelyn and Kurt run into trouble. MacInnis listens helplessly as his rescued operatives fight for their lives, while Morgan and Nathan's teams manage to hook up at the training barracks. But they're badly outnumbered. And the Trojan Horse isn't working.

( We're short one doctor. )

( See you in a minute. )

( No backing down. Not today. )

( Staying out of trouble wasn't really an option. )

( 'I am so going to kick your ass when we get out of here.' 'Promise?' )

( Four. Just the four of them )

Thermopylae - Scarce heard amid the guns below (part 8)

Cain chooses a good moment to experiment with plane origami. Lorna, Piers, and Nolan fight for their lives, while Wanda ... and Scott fights to get the surviving two directors to safety. Alison gets some unexpected help that frees her to respond to Nathan's distress call, and Cain has to make a difficult choice. Back at the mansion, the shield on the link falls at last and Moira sees it all.

And in front of the training barracks, the dying continues.

( Good God, is he wearing a football jersey? )

( A little strategy would be good here! )

( Kill or be chewed on. )

( Leave me here. )

( No choice at all. )

( No surrender, no retreat. )

( There aren't enough. Not enough of us, and too many of them. )

( No, no no no, Cain promised he promised... )

Thermopylae - Go Tell The Spartans (part 9)

The fighting continues on the island, and Kurt and Elliot track down the person jamming the Trojan Horse. At the training barracks, Alison arrives in time to shield the door (and then the whole barracks), but only with help from Mick that comes at a terrible cost. Nathan, caught outside the shield, keeps fighting, trying to hold the operatives back from the shield until he goes down. Then there's no more left for Mick to give and the shield falls.

And no, that's not the end.

( The other side of the Spartan coin. )

( We have to take him down. )

( You can't die on me. Don't you dare. )

( Not one more. Not one. )
