Nathan and Moira, Friday night

Late on Friday night, Nathan defiantly sneaks back into Moira's bedroom. She's very happy to see him. They're both struggling with nerves, but manage to banter their way more or less out of them. The cuddling probably helps, too.

( As far as everyone else is concerned I'm sound asleep down the hall. So as long as I'm out of here before dawn, no one will know we actually spent the night before our wedding together. )

Nathan and Cain, early Saturday morning

Cain finds Nathan watching the sunrise on the morning of the wedding. He checks to make sure that no cold feet are in the offing and then gives the slightly nervous Nathan something of a pep-talk anyway.

Finally relinquishing supervision of the singing and band, Alison strikes out to find Haroun. A little fresh air is in order as well as time for two.

Immediately after the wedding, as people are settling in, Amanda has a chat with her big brother, before Meggan decides she's been good long enough and pounces.

Later, the lure of nicotine is too strong, and Amanda is caught being unladylike. Luckily it's by Nate.

Reception - Madelyn, Kurt - Saturday afternoon

Nathan finds himself on the receiving end of a very special pair of gifts from Moira and her family, and is a bit dazed by the implications. Haroun gives him a friendly kick in the rear or two.

( Didn't those ghosts in your head teach you anything? )

Nathan gets along with Rory's replacement much better than he did with Rory. He and Curt banter, prove that men can be catty too, and eventually raise their glasses to the Kinross women.

( 'Marrying into nobility. Heck of a stretch for someone from my background - and I suspect Moira's grandmother will remind me of that periodically until the day she dies.' 'Which will not be soon enough. Whoops, was that out loud?' )

Alison and Nathan get a few minutes to talk. Alison muses, and reveals a little more than she maybe intended to. Nathan is tickled, and makes a mental note to plot. Then Alison makes a very good suggestion for an ex-Mistra bonding activity.

( Oh-ho. He saw what was going on now. Not that he was going to say it aloud. No provoking panic. )

Nathan and his fellow ex-operatives follow through on Alison's suggestion, and then have a toast.

Domino collects on the bet she and Cain made the last time she was at the mansion, and he agrees to shield her from the bouquet like he promised. Somehow, before that, they wind up dancing the tango.

( I am allergic to the very idea of matrimony. Or, well, relationships in general at the moment. So! No bouquet for me. )
